I had to remove all the affiliate banners from my site because they were getting thousands of impressions with no sales while the site is only getting a few. Does anybody have any idea where they could be coming from and how to stop it from happening?

Also some of the links in my post have lost their formating and the raw links are showing instead of the words,

Sometimes you can be getting genuine clicks but no sales, if you have a good tracking system, you can actually see where there coming from, and from which IP address as well.
Start with that, which will help you figure out where there coming from.
Well ah can't seh nothing about the links format. other than redo them.

When the banner gets almost 5000 impressions in a week and no sales it's not real traffic

Platforms like Google Analytics are really advanced & filter out most bot visits to your site whilst some affiliate tracking platforms are really basic & don't... That'll likely explain the discrepancy in data.

So analytics is filtering what I see but not filtering the bots? How can I stop them. I am going to get kicked out of my affiliate program if I can't.

I could host the banners myself. Is there any way to access the cpanel fow WA sites?

Just go into your admin panel, click Media -> Add New. You'll be able to upload the banners there :)
