We all know the importance of having plenty of white space in our blog to make it more relaxing to the eyes of the readers.

But why is it that this constantly glaring white color in web pages is becoming a strain to my eyes?

Isn't it the purpose of people advising us to have plenty of white space is just to encourage breaking from constantly seeing same color? Like when fonts are in black, you have to put some white space in between paragraphs/text.

This made me think, what if the color of the fonts I use is in white (background in black)? Does it break the rule of having plenty of white space?

Do we have to forever say good bye to themes with dark colored background?

Or, am I misunderstanding something here?

The white font on the blue works well - That's my choice

I agree with Udoh. Do a test run with both and ask the community to vote :) The decision is still yours in the end.
Also ask your family and friends to have a look. Open both screens and let them flip between the 2 and tell you what they think :)

Maybe you are right. Test it for some time, and if it turn out not good, then change back to white themes.

You can do a trial run and see what works and what does not.

Black font against white background is what studies show to be the best for the readers. That's also what WA recommends.

There is no set rules on what you can do or cant not do with your website. Well there are few rules, but overall you run it as you see fit for you and your audience.

I do like the the identity theme in the screen shot above.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the desire to help but I can't because of poor internet signal here in our place (the Philippines).

Okay my friend. You do know that theme you are showing is Premium and not free, right? Look at Divi. I would also recommend the theme's recommended supporting plugins.
