Hi everyone!

I hope you all are doing wonderful today. It's Monday =) and what blessing it has been so far for!

I just created my first ever website but decided to change the name of it. Is there anyway I can do that? How?

Thank you all!

Sorry but you can't. You would have to delete and start again.

Thanks Geoffrey,

I will probably have to do that.

I was doing it with siterubix.com while still on training.

Hi Vith,

If you are talking about your website URL (www.yourdomain.com), then the answer is no. Once purchased, you can’t change the URL. Every domain is unique and is entered onto a register - this is the reason you cannot change it after you have bought it.

However, if you want to keep the URL but want to change the website's title and tagline, then you can edit them on your WordPress General Setting. (see the attached pic)

All the best,
Ferra

If it is a siterubix site and you don't have many posts on it yet, maybe you'd like to consider starting over with a brand new one.

Are you changing your mind about your niche that's why you want to change your website's name?

It is in the same niche but I think the website name is like anything but that particular niche. For example: Website name: Anything but Children's Apparels, when what I truly meant is everything Children's Apparel =) =). I don't know what I was thinking. Hehehe.

I guess, I just have to start all over again then. You were right, I don't have anything there that much yet. Just my About page, and that's pretty much it.

Thank you so much for your insight Ferra. I appreciate everything.

Best,
Vith

I know, it can hurt but at least you can move forward with that knowledge. Good luck!

Nope, you can't change it, except you go for another
