I have published the last few posts to my website through logging in to my website as I could not find a way to add media another way. Now I notice these posts do not show up in my Site Content Page. Will this be a problem? Is there a way to get these posts on to SiteContent? Also can I view earlier lessons somehow?
Thanks Rick

Hi Rick,

First, you can jump around the training and view any lesson you want. Just go to Training and choose whichever class you want. See attached screenshot.

Second, I assume by back room you mean the wordpress interface.

That's totally fine, many of us publish content that way, me included. Those ones will not show up in your site content page and that's not a problem at all.

Basically, site content page is a nice function here at WA to help publish content easier. You are free to choose whether you want to use it or not.

If you want your content on Site content page, you will need to publish them from the Site Content Page. I don't think there's a way to input published content back into site content page, at least to my best knowledge.

Here's a complete walk through of site content if you want to utilize this amazing tool.

Thank you so much Rick. That's very kind of you.

There are so many amazing members here I would like to introduce to you. But I don't want to overwhelm you with too much knowledge at once.

Following the training, do the homework step by step and you are good to go.

As always, I'm here to help. Just drop me a message with any question you have.

Once you publish outside of SiteContent, in the WordPress back office, you will not see those posts in SiteContent. It's totally fine to do it that way. I don't use SiteContent at all, I publish all of my content using WP directly.

When you say “website back room”, I’m presuming you mean “WordPress Admin”? There is no way to link the Posts/Pages in to SiteContent.

There is no harm adding content only via WordPress Admin, especially if you already have Media in WordPress that you want to add to each Page/Post.

Another option, is to use SiteContent, then publish to WordPress, followed by logging in to WordPress Admin to add Media. Just be careful not to then update content in SiteContent, as it will overwrite the Page/Post in WordPress.

You can use SiteContent to add Media such as the free images provided, or by adding your own Media.

What kind of media are you adding to your Pages/Posts?

I've published several posts from the back end. I actually started there. Forgot all the about the writing tool until recently (now my word count, as tracked by the tool, is... inaccurate). ;)

From the Website view, it doesn't matter where it's written.
