Hey guys! Hope your day is going well! Bright sunshine where I am : )

So, I get that you can have sticky navigation and a static homepage etc.

I would like to have a sticky top bar or footer if possible. Anyone know how to do this?

Hi,
Some themes will allow you to add sticky header and static homepage using their free templates, e.g is Kadence theme. However I don't have an example for a theme with sticky footer on its free version.
You need to investigate your theme first on available features.
Hope this helps, feel free to ask for more help.

If you have a widget in the header, footer or sidebar, these can be made sticky.

I have widgets but there is no option to make them sticky in the customize section of my theme. Or I don't know where to find it then.

Have you looked at the actual widget under appearances in the dashboard? Not saying its there, but worth a peek..

Hi Angela.

Sorry, are you talking about making a blog post Pin on top of all other posts on your website? I want to make sure I understand your request.

Hey Joe!

I have this offer from an affiliate that I want displayed like a top bar that will follow the user as they scroll down the page. Or a footer if a top bar isn't an option.

I have a top bar already, but can't figure out how to make it do this.
James (WachiraJ) suggested I look into my theme and see if maybe the feature just isn't available to me since I am only on the free version.

This makes sense and I never even thought of that, so I am going to investigate it further.

Exactly some themes do not support that feature; you may have to upgrade to a paid theme that provides that option or feature.

I am having similar issues with my theme, not doing what I need it to do. At the moment, my site is live but under construction. Not happy with the theme at all; I wish that I had listed all the features before I went with it; it pissed me off. Anyhow not exactly what I had in mind, but I will get there soon.

I hope this helps; the details are so short, they should list all the features, not just some.

Good Luck, Angela.

Thanks Joe : ) I checked and I do have the premium version but it still does not have the option to make it sticky. I will have to figure something out. For tonight though, I'm throwing in the towel. I have been on this laptop all day and my back hurts.

Hopefully you get your issues resolved too. No good when things don't work the way they should.

Thanks for the help and will see you tomorrow : )
