Currently have hosted site on free domain ( Siterubix ) , wld like to book the domain for site being developed on WA , how shld i book the domain on site dashboard .

Go to the left-side side menu, click on Website (Image one)
In the popup window click on Domain. (image two)
There is a search box on top and under site manager menubar.
Type in for Search desired domain name.
Suggested and available domain list will appear with their respective prices.
Select your desired domain and add to cart.
To check out click on the cart and proceed to payment.

if you mean 'buying' then you need to pay $13.99 for one year, but before buying, research adequately then decide on the domain name, cause once its registered, it cant be changed.

yes , i understand .. where do i go on the dashboard to check domain availability and then book it .

You cannot "book" a domain - if available you have to buy it. Then it is yours.
