Hi Everyone

I am creating my own products and therefore need to be able to take payments directly from my website.

Is there a free way or pay-as-you-go way to do this? Ideally, I only want to pay per transaction.

Is this what "Shopify"is for?

If you're already selling your own info products or courses please reply below with your no. 1 recommendation. Thanks.

WooCommerce is my recommendation...You can easily receive payments from PayPal (and credit cards) and, depending on where you are located, can add a second payment gateway such as Stripe or similar...

This is an easy-to-use plugin that has many 100s of add-on plugins to add as many features as you may want or need. It is cheaper long run that some of the platforms out there such as Shopify or Magento...

Good luck!

Tammi, it did, thanks. So many people recommended the WooCommerce plugin that I went for it and it's as brilliant and easy to use as everyone says. Yay!

You don't need Shopify. You can add a shopping cart through plug-ins. Many of them are free you will need HTTPS enabled on your site. It really is not that difficult to set it up. You might want to look at Woocommerce which you can use many of the themes for free.
