Keeping an eye on my Site Health, is one sure way of improving my website performance. My score for plugins is 0%.

I understand that too many plugins can cause slower page load times and this discourages my website visitors to pay me another visit.

I know that I need to to keep my plugins below 5 to maximize the health of my site.

Does anyone know how best I can achieve this target and what are the recommended plugins?.

you start off with two included plugins, all in one seo and ewww optimizer and later you may pick up one or two more as indicated in the training

[some people change AIO for yoast ]

then it will all depend on the functionality you want to create in your site, most people will pick up a social plugin, and some people go for a free email list sign up like easysignup if they are not going with mailchimp or aweber

even though site health talks about 5, you may find yourself needing to go slightly above that for certain things depending on your site - but for sure certain plugins are NOT needed like anti-spam, caching, some of the extra security as with some platforms, not jetpack,

Thank you, Mary, for clarifying. Now I can make an informed decision and choose the ones I want to get rid of.

Hi! Yes, I initially also had that concern. But continue with the training and naturally it will be pointed to you what plugins you need to install.

Here also is a post about SiteHealth that you might find useful (SiteHealth is more or less a guideline): I like the image you selected for this question! :)

Use the basic plugin from WP, then I would use some other ones you may like. I have VIG Link because I do run that for my affiliate program. I also use a Google Analytics Plugin. All in One SEO Plugin as well
