I want to move my Privacy Page and Contact form in my footer as my main menu is becoming cramped. I have looked through widgets, tried to make a link but I can't seem to make this happening. I'm sure there is a simple solution that my frustration is not allowing me to see. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you create a custom menu and use widgets. This is the way to move things around in your menu.

Good luck!!!

Yes, I did Tammi, thank you. This is my third time building my web page, each time a different theme due to theme conflicts that I couldn't resolve. That's how I did it on my other 2 sites but for whatever reason, I could not remember to save my life. We all have our off days I guess lol. It;s because I slept last night, I'm a clinical insomniac so I will average 8-10 hours a week so I perform best when over tired and my worst after I sleep unless I get my good nights, 8-10 hours, where my body can truly rest and rejuvenate.

Hi Jair,
I added a widget for Pages in the footer where I did specify the pages I wanted.

Unless your template provides an option to place links in footer the only other way I know is there are a couple plugins if you go to add new and search that will allow you to add your page links

Hi,

this depends on your theme.
Some themes have footer widgets you can use for that purpose.

If not, you would have to customize the theme itself using code or another plugin.

But, as I said, that depends on the theme.

Which theme are you using?
A link to your site would be helpful, too.

I am using the OceanWP theme which allows 4 widgets in the footer and I am using Elementor for the page builder. Like I said, my frustration over this matter has literally made me become blind to the answer. What would the widget be generally called for an action like this?
Thanks so much for your help. I'm usually the one helping people but for whatever reason, this simple task is driving me nits.

First, create a new menu that shows only the privacy policy and contact.

Then go to widgets and drag the widget "custom menu" to one of the footer widgets.
Choose the newly created menu and that should do the trick.

Have a look at my test site here (I didn't create a new menu because I wanted to give you the answer fast).

Alternatively, you could display your contact form directly in the footer, and not just a link.

Just did that as well, but it doesn't look very good with the black background.

I don't know the theme well enough to know if those colors can be changed.

That is awesome, it's the custom menu part I was missing....lol....see, I knew it was a simple answer, I guess we all have our days.

Thank you so much for your help, I greatly appreciate it and so does my hair. Let me buy you a digital coffee, these are great as you can have as many as you want ...and never have to use the washroom!

Haha. Thanks for the coffee.

It's often the little things that drive people crazy. ;)

It WAS a little simple thing and I WAS going crazy. I have built my rank up by helping everyone else...I can't believe that stumped me. Like I said, I guess we all have our days.

Thank you again, it's all corrected now and I can move forward with my day. May you have an awesome day today my friend.
