Hello my friendly WA community. I'm guessing I know the answer to the above, but it would be really good if in my GP theme I could put the search on the RHS of the menu rather than being elsewhere on a page. You can put Search into margins and into widgets, but you don't seem to be able to add it to a menu. Has anybody found a way to do this out there - even if it means delving into CSS. I used to be a programmer so should be able to figure this out - if I get some useful directions.

Hey Ian,

You can, yes, even on the free version of Generate Press :-)

You just need to log in to your WordPress website, and then click on Appearance -> Customise -> and then on Layout -> Primary Navigation and set Navigation Search to Enable

No code required ;-)

Speak soon,
Chrystopher

Chrystopher - Thank you, you came up trumps again :). Very easy I must say... when you know how.

Hey Ian,

For tweaks you wish to make to ANY theme like this, you need to reach out to the developer to ask for assistance.

In the case of GeneratePress, the developer has been kind enough to create an entire forum for his users to ask questions like this. See screen print below...

GeneratePress is EXCELLENT at responding to their tickets, and I'm sure they will have a great suggestion to offer you so that you can do what you want here.

Hope you find this helpful.

Trish - Thank you very much. This is information I didn't know, so it's very useful. Something I'll use in the future when I'm really stuck. As you can see from Chrystopher's response, for now, my immediate problem is solved.
