Hello All,

I am working on a product and want to sell it through the landing page.

My Page:

Hello and first you have a loading speed problem and second all your letters are so big it fills the page and looks stupid
I am looking on a phone as most people do and I got fed up waiting for it to load but then I was able to scroll down and the next text is also way too big it looks like it is for kids -
Please you really need to rethink this

Paul

Thanks Paul.
I will look into the speed & font.

Any thoughts on Clickbank and methods of promotion ?

Promotion is using social media

Hi Vikas - That's a great product your are promoting. Well done.

My choice of bullet points is the Third type.

I'm not able to comment on whether or not you should promote this through Clickbank. I use Clickbank but as a publisher, not a vendor. In saying that, from my long experience with Clickbank I honestly wonder if you could do better than using them. Clickbank has an enormous number of vendor products and some of them do not do well. You can tell by the Gravity of each product.

I haven't had a lot of experience with JV Zoo but they seem to be really proactive in promoting products.

I suggest you study both Clickbank and JV Zoo to see what they are able to do for you.

What would be great for you in promoting your product is a well known or prominent person who has a great list of contacts. Over the years I have purchased several products because they have been promoted by a 'Super Affiliate' through their regular emails.
(Just some food for thought!)

Thanks a lot ValerieJoy for your inputs.

Even I am not sure whether I can do better job than Clickbank in promoting my product.
I am not thinking of JVZoo as I associate it more to IM or similar kinds of products.

JVs is something I am definitely thinking of but I am not sure, how to start with. What all do I need to be ready with ?

When it comes to looks or grammar or logical flow of content, do you find the page okay ? How about looks (color, fonts, structure, etc) ?

To answer your questions - The colors are good, but my opinion is that the font is too large.

The section 'Why this Course?' - I find the text hard to read on the top left-hand side because of the dark blue. Maybe you could lighten that image or use a different one.

When you decide on which group of bullet points you will keep, and delete the other two, that will be helpful as to appearance.
Also, the second to last bullet point where it says 'And more, just read on...' it appeared that I needed to click on those dots. So I think you should delete the dots, and delete the last bullet point that has a line beside it.

If you change the font, delete the 2 groups of bullet points you don't need, I will have another look at the page.

I have used Woocommerce plugin with Extra (theme) from Elegant Themes to create a website. This has two sections - info & online store.
I want to have two different menu

Have you checked out this plugin? You can select what shows in the menu for each page....

https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-specific-menu-items/

Thank you for this wonderful option.

I tried it, was successful to some extent but did not try it enough to see it serves the exact purpose.
Yes, it looks promising and probably work for me :)
Thanks again !

Hello All,

I want to have a landing page. I have pre-created form with index.html, css and related images.
Can somebody please help me and let me know how host it on

I was actually trying to figure out how I was going to make my first landing page also. I was looking at Thrive Content builder but I also saw a landing page builder called Zedity which has a free version and can build landing pages without requiring any coding. I saw it at the bottom of an article by Neil Patel here:
http://neilpatel.com/2015/11/28/15-wordpress-plugins-no-content-marketer-should-live-without/

Thank you Conor77. Excellent page with lots of useful information (apart from my typical requirement).
Installed Zedity but I realized, my visual editor is broken. Zedity works in Visual Editor mode. Having issue with Visual Editor is normal problem, which is fixed by lots of effort.
So, now my problem is "HOW TO FIX MY VISUAL EDITOR" :)
I am working on, intend to try out each and every solution (till it works).

Just curious.
In WA, people ask questions and/or post blogs with a question like:
"Do you know XXX ?" or "How can I do XXX ? "
And, lots of people answer "I d

I kind of agree with all the theories here.

After reading yours, I am thinking .... probably some people want to stay active but don't have any answer.
I hope somebody who posts (or has posted in past) "I don't know" can help us better :)

Hm....I don't know. j/k :)

Just one of those things. Ignore those answers, and legit ones will come. I think people are just trying to be helpful by not ignoring you, and are inadvertently posting a useless answer.

I have two theories:
(1) When you reply to someone's question, you will get notification when someone else will reply to that question.

(2) Not so noble one, you get points for activity, more points better rankings. ;P

Your point 1 is not true shoofar, they don't get notifications if there are no direct replies to their reply.

You point 2 is more likely

For the reply I give here shoofar and wealthyvic will get a notification, PjLucas will not get one

You are correct.. That is a bad answer.. Sometimes if I want to help a person, I ask for a screen shot , but, this is a good reminder if I cannot help then, leave it to someone who can.. You are so right..

Hello All,

I am planning to get into websites creation business, which definitely needs some learning. Seeking your help to have some answers.

I want to target

Wordpress is extremely versatile and can definitely any of that stuff. I'm not 100% clear what your goals are, but to create an ecommerce site, there are a variety of plugins. WooCommerce is the most popular plugin I know of, but there are more.

I prefer Studiopress themes, and you can use them on as many websites as you want. they are a little expensive though, and the first one you buy is $100 (including Genesis and child theme), but they get cheaper after that since you only have to buy Genesis once.

Thanks Nathaniell for your response.

I want to start websites business. Want to begin with my friends/acquaintances, and initially it is going to be free. I am asking them to help me get business in return of my work.

Now, I have 2 options - from scratch or Wordpress. I am not skilled enough to do it from scratch, so Wordpress is the only option.

Is it a good idea to create static (non-blog) site using Wordpress ?

How about e-commerce websites using Wordpress ? I know, Woocommerce exists but I know Magento, Prestashop (and more) too exist. What is easier and more efficient ?

If buying 1 Studiopress theme helps me, I can buy it as I can support multiple websites through 1 theme.
As mentioned by Julian, "Divi" from Elegant themes looks good and highly customizable. Not sure, but I think all the sites I make using this theme will look different. Also, the whole set of themes including Divi can be bought at $89 per year or $249.
Which one from Studiopress would you suggest ? What are your thoughts about Divi ?

Or, I can start with 1 free theme. Showcase my skills and when I make some money, just buy themes.
In this case too - which free should I start with and which ALL themes should I have in my repository (buy) ?

I know it's a long one !
Thanks everybody, if you have reached here, understood all and are about to reply :)

Yes, you can definitely achieve that with a CMS.
I'm only familiar with WordPress.
There are premium themes are designed for what you're looking for. And most premium theme developers give their customers the permission to add the theme they purchased to unlimited websites.

Elegant Theme's Divi might be a good one for you.

StudioPress also has a few corporate/business themes.

Thanks Julian.
Are you aware of (actually) "free" themes which are not lite versions of some pro theme and give full freedom ?
Can I modify lite versions available by editing css/php files available through the "theme-editor" ? If yes, to what extent ?

Yes, free themes can be edited, but be sure to use a child theme so future updates don't remove your changes.

Sorry Nathaniell, this one I could not understand. Can I install a child theme with every theme (like Genesis)? If yes, how do I do it ?
If no, then how do I modify theme keeping my changes persistent (as you mentioned) even after update ?

I hate all the "lite" themes, as they look incomplete most of the time. Please suggest useful, modifiable "free" theme.

With free themes, they don't come with a child theme, you have to make one. With many paid themes, or at least Studiopress, you have a two parts: A Framework and a Child Theme With a child theme you can make changes and they will not be erased as you update the theme. Without a child theme, any changes you make will disappear after the update.

All free themes are modifiable!

Thanks for the link Nathaniell .
