Should all my posts be based on my niche or can I be free spirited?

Thanks

If you want a "Wealthysite" the object of the game is to continue adding to the niche post that you started until you see some revenue coming in.
At the point you may want to branch out with another niche.

Marion

Personally I would only post content directly on niche until I were to become an authority on that subject. Then it would be okay to diversify a little with content not exactly on niche but definitely related to it in some way.
If I had ideas for totally off niche content I would write them down somewhere for future use, perhaps start another blog, or post the content somewhere else other than my website.
I hope this helps,
Steve.

In the end you want to become an authority in your niche. It’s ok to post on other things but it’s best to keep “in your lane” so to speak.

You should try to keep the majority of your posts related to you niche website. You can certainly open up your topics a bit but you wouldn't want to blog about weight loss on a niche site about horses.

Hi Folks, I feel stuck as I do not need to purchase a domain right now and want to continue with my lesson. How do I proceed without messing up my website?

You don't have to buy a domain however consider this....

You want to build trust and authority. Wouldn't a domain name go a long way toward that. Would you buy an Apple computer from apple.siterubix.com or appleenthusiasts.com, I think the second looks more legit.

You want to start ranking in the search engines. If you rank under your siterubix.com site and then later change to to a domain name, you'll be starting over on building your ranking levels under the new domain name.

This (the ranking part) is not strictly true.
I asked site support that same question and they said it would have no negative effect on rankings.
However I still think it best to get your own domain asap because isn't that the ultimate goal?

Well when you move your site a forward is put in place for the old URL...so the rankings under the old URL are still valid and will get to your new site (until they grow stale because your new content is from a different domain) but in the end you want rankings under the domain your site is live on.

Its not compulsory to purchase a domain name so just carry on with the next lesson.
I think the general idea is that by the time you get to a certain point in the training you will see the benefits of owning your own domain name but it is certainly not compulsory.

thanks

You're welcome

I was the same as you, I already had my domain. I just ticked the box at the end of the lesson as if I had just purchased one from WA. You get to the next lesson just the same.

Thanks

Could one continue with siterubix till at least you know what you are doing and if so how do you by-pass the buy domain in the training area?

Yes you can. The only recommendation I have is, if you plan to get a domain down the line, the sooner the better as you’ll want to rank under that domain name.

Thanks, I appreciate the info

Any time

I think the quicker you buy it the quicker the search engines start crawling it andcad you add content it will be getting indexed.

When it’s on a site Rubix domain the same happens but when you change to a purchased domain name it needs time for the search engines to adjust I believe.

Saying that you can use a free domain From site rubix If you wanted to but your own domain looks more professional in my opinion.

I hope this helps!

Was helpful, thanks

Great thanks for letting me know

Congrats on going Premium

You do not have to buy a domain straight away if you choose not to.
Of course, having your own domain is the best way and there have been members here who have done well with the free website.

But as you stated if you are not fully ready then go through the training, continue using your SiteRubix for now.

When you feel you are confident to go further forward that is when it is best to get your own domain which you can get here within WA.

Wishing you well.

Andre

You are welcome just remember as many have already stated here, having your own domain it the best way going forward but you can also when you are ready you can transfer your SiteRubix to your own domain when the time comes without losing any posts or pages you may have created.

Wishing you well and thanks for the follow too

Andre

You can set up a FREE Site Rubix website. I hope this answers your question.
Best Wishes,
Dana

Thank you Dana, I appreciate your response

Happy to help :)
