All of my content is indexed. But none of it appears to be on page 1 of any of the search engines. (I saw that my About page was ranked #7 in Yahoo for a keyword a few days ago, but not anymore...)So I have had zero visitors to website in the past 7+ days....But then again, I haven't gotten to any of the lessons on link building in the Online Entrepreneur Certification training just yet....So I am curious as to whether the Google Sandbox is real (the hypothetical urban legend that new websites

Ok, so I underestimated the amount of time and effort that is involved in getting work done (if you want to be thorough and do it properly of course).I was hoping to have affiliate links embedded into all of my 9 articles by Friday evening. Here we are, Monday evening (Christmas Eve)... and I'm only about 60% of the way done.Retroactive WorkOne thing I have read about from the blogs of some successful affiliate marketers out there is that, in addition to plodding ahead and creating more content

Ok I decided to give the Gutenberg Editor a try. It actually is't that difficult to get acclamated to it...But then as I was trying to insert affiliate links into my website (which you can read about my affiliate linking strategy - that includes the use of a bridge page and also the use of an affiliate disclaimer), I noticed that the Gutenberg Editor seems to be a little bit glitchy when adding hyperlinks into a document. After attempting to troubleshoot the issue, I decided to give up and insta

Ok, so after much deliberation, I've decided to go with a bridge page after all.On each of the blog posts on my website, rather than linking to my affiliate landing page at Amazon, I have created a separate page on my website, where I am briefly introducing the affiliate products that I am promoting, and I am including the links there on that page. This actually works out quite well.... As the clicks to the affiliate links will be more targeted this way.. You would only click on the affiliate li

Ok, so my plan for today was to finally start inserting affiliate links into my website.... Seems like a simple enough task, right?Well, today I fell into a bit of analysis paralysis, if you will.Of all the affiliate programs I had available to choose from, that I got accepted into, I decided to go with Amazon. I found a few 4-start $100+ items that got 100s of positive reviews on Amazon, for my niche. (These should be good for $4 to $6 commissions per sale, hopefully... I know this is low and
I had installed StatCounter on my website. (Just head over to http://www.statcounter.com - NOT an affiliate link, because apparently they don't have an affiliate program.)I decided to take a look at it today.Only 9 articles on my website so far. No affiliate links yet. No backlinks. No nothing. It's still an experimental work in progress, as a case-study being done as part of the Online Entrepreneur Certification course here at WA....Apparently one of the visitors to my website was referred fro

Just for the fun of it, I decided to click on Jaaxy's Site Rank feature, and I decided to plug in a few of the keywords I had written some of my articles for...This may sound extremely petty in the long run, but when I look back and read this blog post one year from now after I have started making a 5-figure income, I will be able to reminisce about this one tiny little victory:As it seems, one of my pages (or maybe it was my About Us page) is ranked #7 on the first page of Yahoo for one of my

Ok... So I wanted to make some progress this weekend, but spending time with family and other social commitments took precedence.Today being Monday, I decided to get back into the groove.Unfortunately I didn't get to do any work in the morning like I did last Friday.I was able to put in about 2 hours this evening after work...I was able to sign up for a few affiliate programs.... And I read up on the importance of using a "Bridge Page" on my website.I learned something new today... In the Onlin

Ok, what I'm about to share with you may not seem earth-shattering to you.But to me, it opened up a whole new world of possibilities.Last night, I posted late at night, after an exhausting, long day, that I was too tired to write an article for my website, as I had been planning to.So what I had done was just researched a keyword, with the intention of writing the article the following day.Fast-Forward To This Morning...This morning, I decided to do something completely out-of-the-box:Rather th

Ok, it's getting late. I'm tired. Last thing I want to do is write another article for my website right now. I mean, I could. But then I will pay for it in the morning, when I need to be fresh, alert, and awake for my day job. Therefore, I have done the bare minimum, and I have consulted with Jaaxy to find another keyword to write my next article about. It's a good one. It's unique. Hopefully it will help me to write some fresh content, althought it will be mostly a rehash of some of my existing
