I Spent An Hour On My Website Today - But Not Exactly The Way I Wanted.
Pursuant to my self-declared goal to spend at least two hours per day on my affiliate marketing endeavor, allow me to spend a few minutes to provide a debriefing synopsis of my today's progress on this front:
Today's Lesson In The Online Entrepreneur Training
Ok so I watched the video and read the materials for the online entrepreneur training. I signed up for an affiliate account at ShareASale.com. It took me a while to make sure that I had a valid, functioning email address, due to some hosting issues. (But in the end, I ended up using the email address I had created through WA Hosting.)
That took some time.
And then one of the tasks in today's lesson was to solicit feedback from the community.... So before doing that, I decided to take a look at my website, to make sure it looks presentable... And that's when I had to go into emergency / crisis mode:
The featured images were missing from most of my articles.... And whenever I would click on a link that had a missing featured image, the website would just hang, and never load the article. It took me a while to figure out the hanging was being caused by the broken featured images. I spent some time disabling and re-enabling plugins, trying different themes, and Googling the information. But in the end, all I had to do was delete and re-add the featured images.
It might have been collateral damage from a theme upgrade.
And then I found some pesky "above the fold / below the fold" scrolling issues, which I had to fix, among other things, within the website...
... And then I decided to upgrade to Wordpress 5.0, which I was taken aback by, since all of the sudden, now I had to deal with a whole different interface.
Anyhow, so that is essentially how I spent my hour today.
I am at about an hour and half now, if you include the time spent going through the WA training....
Hopefully tomorrow, I will be able to actually spend my one to two hours on writing my next article...
The good news is that I was able to spend some time productively working on furthering my business, although it wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend it.... But it was important nonetheless....
Ok, will check back in again later with another update.

Hyder,
Might not have been what you had planned on but better
found now that later and more fixes could have resulted
in more lost time - so happy you got all corrected and can
now move on - I have the same frustrations now that I
am going back over everything after 5 months :(
Congratulations on getting all under control
Susan
We all have hours/days like that. Perseverance is one trait that is admirable and necessary in this ever-changing world online.
