Weird experience with Site Comments

I just tried leaving a site comment for a website, I wrote from my personal experience. I kept getting a message it wasn't unique! After the 3rd attempt, I erased everything and started over. Same message! I finally had to say "not interested' which is not good for the person whose comments I was leaving plus it ruined my perfect record. The experience was very discouraging to say the least.

Also, unfortunately, there were no other comments on this article. This would have been the first.

I just wasn't going to waste a lot of time trying to do this. As I said, the comments WERE totally unique to me and my experiences.

Has anyone else encountered this situation?

SiteComments has been upgraded to make it easier to focus on engagement, but it still uses a lot of digital triggers and automated reasoning tasks (algorithms) which may still have a 'glitch' from time to time.

You should not take it personal.

Hi Dennis. I didn't take it personally. Was just trying to understand if anyone else had experienced the same issue :).

Hey MaryAnn,
I have left many comments and the only error message I have received is not enough words. When I write more this is always corrected.

Tried and True

Elaine

Don't have that issue Elaine. I always write at least 3 paragraphs. Probably just a one time thing as I haven't had it happen again (yet :).

Hi Mary Ann,

There are certain phrases I use more often than others. And, sometimes, it's just these phrases that trigger the "not unique" flag - if they were used once or twice previously.

Also, if you have related a specific experience on one or more other posts, it loses its uniqueness and could get flagged, too.

Both situations have happened to me - so, do a little introspection and see if any of these situations apply to some of the comments you have made.

Hi Jim,

I understand what you are saying but this was a specific topic and I replied with a specific response per my experience. Anyway, it happened, I am over it and I only hope it doesn't happen again.
Nothing is perfect as we learn every day,. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated :).

Hi Mary Ann,

Just wanted to let you know, this weird occurrence has never happened to me on SiteComments.

They have sent me content in different languages though.

I started to prepare the comments. Then something stopped me and I listened because I didn't want to do something wrong.

Hang in there and work with all areas in Wealthy Affiliate because at the end of the day, this is the real deal.

Peace and love
Maxine

No since I have not been to the new site comments yet.

Yes Mary Ann, this has happened to me on a number of occasions and i couldn't work out why, and it can lead to us losing faith in the program perhaps a complete update of WA may be the answer due to some of the training here is from years ago.

I must say this is the first time I have had an issue with the new site comment format. I only hope it is not repeated as I feel bad for the person who is requesting the comment.

Indeed

Me too Mary Ann I just got an email saying my comments were not approved. I was just telling the truth about how to make it better. I was supposed to pat them on the back and say good job and how well they did. First time for me. Now I have no credits at all

Hey Lenny,

In SiteComments, you are not supposed to say "good job" or how well they did. And, you are not supposed to "tell the truth about how to make it better." These things are called, "feedback." They have no place on the SiteComments platform.

To understand how to write a comment, take Kyle's training: Maybe this will help your understanding of how to use the SiteComments platform.

Jim

Well stated Bob. I was just going to make this point to Lenny and then I read your comment above. Hope this helps Lenny. Kyle's video was posted before the latest upgrades to the SiteComments platform, but is still very relevant.

The operative word is 'engagement' and Kyle's video emphasizes this point. Engaging comments get Googles attention and that is the primary objective.
