Verification Code Missing

I notice that the verification code for one of my websites is not listed in the Webmaster Verification Google Search Console on my Dashboard. However, when I go to Google Search Console, it tells me I am the verified owner. How do I get the code back to insert in my Webmaster Verification under SEO in my Dashboard.

Verification codes can come from Analytics and Google Search Console.

Yes, that is where it comes from.

Hi Mary Ann
Not sure I understand it right when you want the code on your website or on the Google dashboard.
For your website dashboard, it is easy when you have installed All in SEO open it, then go to general click on it scroll down until you find Webmaster verification there you will see Google Search Console copy your code in there and click save.

If you talk about your dashboard on google webmaster I think you have to look for google help.

Hope that helps

Cheers Sylvia

Thanks Sylvia. That is the issue. I am verified but I can't find the code to put in in the Website Dashboard. For some reason, it seems to have been removed. Bing Webmaster is there but not Google Console.

Hi Mary Ann
When you have all in one SEO follow the steps it is easy. Open All in one SEO on your dashboard, then go to general click on it scroll down until you find Webmaster verification there you will see Google Search Console copy your code in there and click save.

Cheers Sylvia

Sorry Sylvia, you are not understanding or I am not making myself clear.

It is the actual code that is missing. I have gone back into Google Console to retrieve it and all it says is "You are a verified owner" (this site was verified a long time ago) so it doesn't show the code anywhere so I can't input it into Wordpress Dashboard.

Don't worry about it. I will contact Site Support. Thanks.

Hi Mary Ann
I checked with my google console.

Go to your google console and click on settings > it says you are verified owner click on the arrow > than a page open that says you are a verified owner > scroll down to Domain name provider > click to open > there you will see your google verification code.

Cheers Sylvia

Mary Ann, this is a new one to me, suggest that you try site support, they will have the answer.

Stuart
