My Journey Thus Far.

I actually got into Wealthy Affiliate by accident. In fact, I was already enrolled in another online affiliate marketing business and started to question the validity and the overall program. It seemed this company was more interested in pushing ‘their’ products than helping me to build an online affiliate business. I mean, that is what you join for, right?

So, in my disgruntled state, I started doing a ‘review’ of the affiliate company I was working with and then I started doing reviews of the other companies. Wealthy Affiliate came out on top and timely saved me from spending over $3,000 US on the other company. Whew!!

For me, it was a few things:

• An opportunity to get my feet wet without spending any money right away and learning from the free valuable lessons that were offered;
• An absence of pressure to jump right in and sell WA products;
• An opportunity to get further training, at my own pace, and within my budget;
• An opportunity to build a website, understand how traffic works and what it all means in Google.

There are several more reasons but I am sure most of you know what I am talking about. If you are new though, stick with it. It does get easier.

Summing up, this is what I have achieved so far.

• New website (I already have one that was created for me a year ago, and the tutorials so far have helped me to understand why I am not getting the activity I should be getting).
• Understanding how traffic works and especially how important key words are!
• Created some content that was very difficult for me in the beginning, actually reaching 1000+ words.
• And learning to share with others; not being afraid to let others know I need help – this is probably the hardest one for me as I have always had an issue with confidence and it has held me back from so many opportunities.

My goal in the next 3 months is to actually start making money towards my GOALS that I set in the beginning and to become an Affiliate member. Right now I am Premium. Also, to gain the confidence in myself and know that I CAN do this.
