My husband and I arived yesterday to a little village called Puerto Morelos, between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, our very first visit to Mexico. Our first few days will be just to explore the area - it has lots of great eating places! And we are lucky enough to know people we met 2 years ago in Costa Rica so they can give us all the 'ins' and 'outs.'

My goal is to work every morning on WA. Since there is no daylight saving time here, it is up early in the morning and to bed early at night.

Morning: WA activities

Afternoon: Exploring and or the Beach; maybe hang out at the community pool; grocery shopping, etc.

Evening: Relaxing or meeting new friends

I am hoping this environment will inspire me to write lots of blogs and reviews and to continue with my goals.

I really hope I don't see too many crawlies and gheckos though!!

You really have to have self control, to work online and enjoy your surroundings! I doubt I could do it!

Hi! Yes, you could. It is just getting into a routine. There is no daylight saving time here so I am up about 6:30 and usually on the computer by 7, coffee in hand. Then I take a break to make a smoothie or something for breakfast and then work into early afternoon. Depending on plans, I may 'goof off' for the rest of the day or do a bit more work in the afternoon. Since it gets dark here early, I put the computer away just before dinner and then hubby and I spend time together. Of course, the best laid plans don't always work out, but we try :).

Sounds lovely!

Hi MaryAnn, actually I am not a big fan of crawlies but geckos are cute. My sister lives in Rocca Azul, it is a beautiful little village just outside of Jocotepec on Lake Chapella. We visit every couple years. Are you looking to move to Mexico fulltime or is it more of a vacation destination? Enjoy your time there.
Mary

We saw a Gecko the first night we were here and it had the longest tail!

We have decided to travel; we did 6 months in Costa Rica (twice) and this time Mexico. If we like it enough, we might do another year but Spain and Portugal are on our list.

Before we came to Mexico we did 4 house sits (all in Ontario). It was a first time experience but we got 5 stars for 4/4 so that was awesome. If you care to read about my experience with the house sits, pm me and I will give you my website as I don't believe it is listed here.

Mary Ann

I will, your travels sound exciting.

Thank you Mary.

That will be a great experience to be in Mexico. And for 6 months that is going to be wonderful laying on the beach and walking in the community and shopping.

You have a good time and try to get some work done if you can. Have the best time that you can and enjoy every minute and take pictures.

Mary

I loved my experience in Mexico (as a language student in 2014).

As for crawlies lol, my Mexican friends taught me that when you get up in the mornings, it's good to have a habit to check your shoes. (Apparently scorpions like to get in there).

That's why now whenever I go to a Latin American/Caribbean place I do this. Better safe than sorry :)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay!

I have heard that and today I put on my running shoes and didn't even look! Better develop that habit and soon!! I hear scorpions can really sting!!

Sounds pretty great. Gotta love that doing affiliate marketing is something you can do anywhere, anytime! Enjoy!

I know! So true. Just need to be disciplined which could be difficult :).

It comes with practice, like remembering to brush your teeth every morning. You'll get used to it.

Hi Mary Ann,

That sounds wonderful! What a beautiful place to take in inspiration and motivation. The beach is my happy place. I'm motivated this morning just seeing your post! Thanks for sharing. I wish you and your husband the best 6 months!

Cris

Thank you Cris for your kind words. We are beach people too and can't wait to get out to see some of them.
