How to Add a Clickable Link to Your Author Bio Box

Thanks to @boomergp08 and @wyattsmom for their tutorials on setting up your Author Bio Box. Since I haven't been here three months and can only do blogs, I thought I would post my findings here.

After searching through the options available for the theme on my website, I ended up using the Author Bio Box and followed the instructions. However, I ended up with two bios (too much of a good thing?) and asked for help from the community. @ShuiHyen suggested I deactivate the plug in because my particular theme might have one, and see what happens. Since I am not a techie, I followed his advice and voila, one of the boxes disappeared.

I also wanted to add a link within my Author bio and ended up going outside of WA and found this on a You Tube video which explained it nicely. You do have to watch what you put in because of spacing, quotation marks etc. but it is quite easy to follow.

So in a nutshell, this is the coding:

<a href="link" title="name"> click here</a>

Where you see the word link, you substitute it with your “website” or url and where you see name, you insert what you want to call it (for example “30waystobuildyourlist”. Remember to leave a space between a href and before title.

That’s it and I have to say, if I can figure this out then just about anyone can!
