Gutenberg Begone!

If you updated your WordPress recently, you may have noticed block editor has taken over your widgets. How frustrating this is!

After doing some Google research (and discovering I am not the only one who didn’t like this – surprise!), it was recommended to download a plugin (yes, another plugin). It is the Classic Widgets and no settings are required.

I am happy to say I now have my original widget set up...and life is simpler once again.

What has been your experience with this?

I was a lover of Gutenberg over the classic editor and then I found Thrive Architect, part of Thrive Themes on my blog on my profile which blows both out of the water.

Zero frustration, just pure conversion.

Awesome Dave. Glad it is working out for you.

Likewise I am glad you are happy too

Thank you for this information, MaryAnn.

You are most welcome, Muslimah.

Thanks for this post I have just installed the plugin I use the classic editor as well. They are always trying to fix what is not broken

Thanks, Barry,

That's a favourite saying of mine "if it ain't broke why fix it?"

I do use the Block Editor once in a while but mostly classic editor as well.

Yep! I had to do that, too. I know that Gutenberg is better but I am SO used to Classic.

I don't know about the better part; there are a lot of frustrated users out there :).
