The Power of Authority

We all have been brainwashed since childhood to respect & trust authority figures (with lab coats, uniforms, titles & certain ‘Posture’). This feeling of obedience stays with us forever, whether we really agree or not.

We can ‘Cash-In’ on this feeling of Authority, especially where money is involved.

The decision-making parts of our brains often shut down when we encounter authoritative advice. That’s the Power of Authority.

‘They’ respect authority, expertise & credentials, especially when it is demonstrated… as opposed to just claiming it.

Your content-rich website demonstrates your authority.

Google also Loves Authority, especially when other folks ‘Link’ to you.

To become an Authority in any niche, use the “L.I.S.T Principle”:
L = Learn (everything you can)
I = Implement (use what you have learned)
S = Share (give away for free, most of what you learned)
T = Teach (charge the correct price for the complete meal)

Also, sell other things related to your authority niche (as an affiliate for other people’s products or by re-packaging your content).

Rules for Building Authority Websites

You must ‘Decode’ the “Hidden Code” (How things work).

The ‘Rules’ are Law but sometimes it’s necessary to break Rules.

#1 Establish your “USP” (Unique Selling Proposition) –
Be ‘The Purple Cow’ in the Herd – Be memorable in ‘Their’ minds – Let your ‘Unique Content’ set you apart -
Stand out in the crowded blogosphere -
Avoid being a “me-too” -
Your story must be what ‘They’ want to hear.

#2 Don’t Sell ... Teach

(See “The L.I.S.T. Principle” above) -
You must build traffic & trust by delivering value that builds Authority.

Use Educational, Tutorial-Style Content to attract Traffic & Trust and decrease resistance.

Your tutorials should focus on the “reason why” someone should do business with you and that your product and service is the right solution. And then you will use a low-key ‘Call-To-Action’ for ‘Them’ to become a Client.

This is an exercise that will benefit me & teach you how to do the same thing. It's called the "WHY & BECAUSE" exercise.
(I will ask you a "WHY" and wait for your answer. Then I will ask you another "WHY" related to you previous answer. This is how to obtain very valuable, useful information.)
OK, here we go:

because I have very little knowledge in understanding the online world of business, I was not aware there was so much to learn, it is also bite size and easy for me to follow

Because, I want to build a successful business and provide people with correction information

WHY do you want to build a successful business & provide people with information?

for a few reasons firstly to show people an honest opportunity ( I suffered from previous scams) secondly due to personal reasons and health ones I want to find a place in the workforce that no one can take from me

Then I would ask WHY to that BECAUSE answer until this Topic is somewhat exhausted. And then I would ASK a different Topic-Question… like:
Katie, what is there in your life that you would like to have more of or less of? Then the WHY & BECAUSE Exercise begins again.

Do you understand & see the benefits of this?

yes I do and it is a really good way to train the brain I will give this a try, thank you so much

WHY do you want to give this a try & train your brain?

Because I need to change the mind set in other words keep focused on who I am talking to through my sites

And then I could start over with the WHY & BECAUSE Exercise based on your last answer.

The best way to get this started with your folks is to ask them: "What would you like more of (or less of) in your life". That's the conversation starter.
