Tasks, Goals & Success

How will Success be determined & recognized?

What Goals must be reached to achieve Success?

What Tasks must be performed to reach the Goals?

Assuming the Goal of ‘Financial Success’ with an ‘Internet-Business’, what are the ‘Tasks’ needed to reach that ‘Goal’?

Since there are many ‘Tasks’ that must be performed & accomplished, a ‘Process’ is required.

A ‘Map’ of the ‘Process’ would be good for guidance.

-At least a ‘Beginning’, ‘Middle’, & ‘End’ would be helpful.

-Where would be a logical starting-point?

-Many folks start with building a Website, expending a lot of time, money & effort.

-Who is this Website for… the builder or an audience?

-If the audience were not yet defined & obtained, maybe that would be a better starting point.

-An audience could help determine the characteristics, functionality & purpose of the Website.

Knowing the Audience may be a better starting-point.
(Who-What-When-Where-Why & How)

·Who ‘They’ are -

·Where ‘They’ hangout -

·What ‘They’ want or need -

·“Why” ‘They’ want it (include the ‘Becauses’ with the ‘Why’)

·‘When’ the time is right - (On ‘Their’ schedule – not yours)

AND THEN FOR THE “HOW”:
- Get ‘Their’ Attention by Creating-Great-Content
- Make it available with an Effective Distribution Method (Aweber)
- Cause ‘Them’ to Believe in you (Know-Like-& Trust)
- “Give” ‘Them’ 95% of it for free (The ‘Bikini Principle’)
- ‘They’ will gladly pay for the other 5% (The Whole Package)
- ‘They’ will tell other folks about you (Referrals)
- ‘They’ will wonder & be receptive to what else you have
(Repeat Business)
- Get ‘Them’ to Optin to your Content instead of your Product
(‘Content Marketing’)
- Your Content will do the ‘Selling’ so you don’t have to
- The Audience becomes the Asset (along with the Content)

Is there a “Hidden-Code” to this ‘Internet Business’ thing?

Is a ‘Great Website’ a middle part of the “Hidden-Code” (‘Puzzle’)?

Other parts of the ‘Puzzle’ involve Psychological Tasks, which will be explored within the ‘Content-Marketing’ session (to follow).

I just figured out where I am getting confused in this post.
I'm wondering how do I get to 'know the audience'?
How do I go about defining and obtaining my audience, if not by building a website about my interest and hoping others share the interest.
Where do I start?

You asked, "Where do I start?"
You start by finding a large, hungry audience that wants what you have.

If you are offering Snow-Cones, people at the North-Pole are not too interested. But what-if you had thousands of people in the Mohave Desert passing by your Snow-Cone-Stand (website).

You simply find the large audience FIRST & then you discover What they want & then you put that (your website) in front of them.

Notice what I just did (because you will want to do the same thing).

I have set-up my "WA BLOG POSTS" as a "CONTENT LIBRARY".

So when I get the same questions from lots of people, I can just refer them to my "CONTENT LIBRARY". It's like having a Website for answering questions & providing what 'They' want & building a Relationship, showing my Expertise & building a Reputation as "The-Go-To-Guy".

I didn't have to do all that 'Techie' stuff of building a Website - getting it Rated in Google Search with all that SEO stuff. All that 'stuff' is fine & great BUT do it later, after you have a successful business going.

Think: "Cart-Before-The-Horse".

OK thanks.

Wally as usual quality thinking.
Valid points.
Know what your "tribe" wants.
If not,is the sight just for "me".
Would seem so.

I really like this, thank you!

The process map is interesting. You can construct one for the lesson training here at WA. How well would it fit your ideas here? What changes would you make?

Most of what WA teaches is the techie part, building websites, etc. which is not my forte. The techie part is 10% or less of the equation for Internet Business. My forte is the other 90%, which makes the engine run. If the engine doesn't run, nothing happens.

“Content is NOT King” until you have the correct Audience & a Relationships with ‘Them’.

The money is in the ‘List’ *IF* your ‘List’ is an ‘Audience’ of folks who need, want & buy what you have to ‘Offer… also know as your ‘Tribe’.

IF MY WEBSITE IS SO GREAT, HOW COME THERE’S NO REVENUE? The answer is in the 90%.

Hi Wally, i've been busy elsewhere and now I'm in catch-up mode. My head hurts. The above comment rings a bell for me, but I'm already swamped by the techie 10%...the other 90 looks daunting just now.

Wally, as always a good read then think. If you keep making me think maybe I will progress in the right direction.

Wally excellent as always, thank you.
