SELL YOUR IDEAS THE STEVE JOB’S WAY:
> Passion is everything… you can’t inspire, unless you are inspired.
> Appeal to ‘their’ heart before ‘their’ brain
> Human Brains crave Meaning before Details… Big Picture before Details.
> First, introduce the PROBLEM that you are solving.
> Think of ‘The Problem’ & ‘The Solution’ as the ‘Villian’ & the ‘Hero’ of your ‘Story’.
> Inform, Educate & Entertain in the simplest way possible.
> The ‘Hero’ / ‘Benefit’ must explain ‘WIIFM’ - “WHAT’S-IN-IT-FOR-ME”
> Don’t leave it to ‘them’ to figure-out ‘WIIFM’… make it simple, clear up-front.
> Make ‘Numbers’ come to life… instead of saying 5-gigs-of memory, say storage for 1000 songs on an i-pod in your pocket.
> Think ‘Visually’ - Words are remembered less than an image. The brain doesn’t pay attention to boring things.
> Create a moment of Surprise, Intrigue, Interest, etc.
> Remember, you are selling ‘Dreams’, not a 'Product / Service’… ‘they’ care about themselves.
> Dream Bigger, See Genius In You Craziness, Believe In Yourself… Deliver with Confidence, Clarity & Passion.
> Marketing is about VALUES.
> Be clear about what you want ‘them’ to think about you… what you ’stand-for’… think & be DIFFERENT.
