Revise Your Content Marketing Strategy to Attract & Retain.
Your Content should be what ‘They’ want & look forward to receiving. ‘They’ will remain loyal & Refer others to you.
This is how-to-think about a ‘Content-Marketing Strategy'. It should have only One Purpose & Strategy (Building-Your-List).
All activities (tweets, posts, articles, etc.) should support a business goal.
Your primary business goal should be to build an audience.
Most marketers are using an upside-down model of developing the product first and then searching for an interested audience. This is the wrong path.
Build the audience first and ascertain ‘Their’ needs & desires. Then provide that.
This is the ‘Go-To-Market-Strategy’.
Step 1.
Choose a niche in which you can be the leading provider with the best Content.
Step 2.
Your Content should have only one goal... building an ‘Optin-List’.
You do not own Fans & Followers until ‘They’ are on your List.
Step 3.
Your ‘RODA’ (Routine-Of-Daily-Activity) should be producing Content as an unbroken promise. Send a Newsletter regularly.
Step 4.
Add “outcomes” of problems you’ve solved to your Content.
Step 5.
Use a Multi-Platform-Model. Repurpose your Content into multiple Formats: Blog-Post, Articles, White Papers, E-courses, Newsletter, Visuals (screencast-o-matic), etc.

Good advice. So many forget step one, the most important. Or they do it quickly without the proper research. That would be a big "oops."

Thank you for the suggestions...especially in Step 5! Speaking for myself, I often overlook that just because a blog/article has been written and published does not mean it is 'finished'....
