Essential Marketing Tools:

Make You Website An "Authority Hub".

What & How To Promote On Your ‘Hub Site’:

    - Your Reputation is affected by ‘What’ & ‘How’ you Promote. Select wisely. Focus on ‘Reader Trust’.

    - The Promotional Strategy & Frequency will determine Success. Make it 95% Good Content & 5% Promotion.

    - Don’t allow 3rd Party Ads (Adsense) on your Site. Affects Your Reputation.

    - Only promote something you own: A Product / Service, Your Newsletter, Free Reports, A Prestige Tool or Another Business Person You Recommend.

    - Only use your ‘Authority-Hub-Site’ for “Pre-Selling” or
    ‘Building-A-Case’ for what you’re Recommending / Promoting.
*** Describe ‘Their’ Problem or Need

*** Suggest the Features available as ‘Their’ Solution

*** ‘Build-A-Case’ for What you will eventually Offer

*** Then move ‘Them’ off your ‘Hub-Site’ to a ‘Landing Page Site’ or conduct the final sale via email.

*** If you don’t have or want a ‘Secondary Site’, Email Marketing is a very good choice.

*** Rumors of the death of Email Marketing are greatly exaggerated.

Email Marketing is still an Essential Marketing Tool:

      - The Readers are more responsive, buy more & you have a tighter connection

      - A '2-Step-Process' is required: Build Traffic & Capture Optins

      - Building Traffic is done with ‘Content Marketing’: Sharing valuable information via Blogging, Guest Posting, Reports, Tutorials, etc. delivered over time (autoresponder), culminating in…

      - Opt-ins for the Relationship Building

      - This will be the source of Referrals & Repeat Business

      - Use ‘Cookie Content’ in the form of: Tips, Stories, Case Studies & Interviews of Experts, etc.

      - Avoid Non-Stop Ads, Promotions & Irrelevant Offers

    Social Media Networks:

-Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+) is a platform for Marketing & Marketing Research BUT NOT a place to grow a Business.

      - It is a quick, inexpensive way to send lots of messages to lots of people and build trust & relationships.

      - Social Media should be thought-of & used as a Tool for ‘Content Marketing and Business Building.

      - Social Media is a Research Tool for:
      *** Meeting people
*** Discovering ‘Their’ Problems, Objections & Needs
*** Use it the same as one giant Forum

      - Interacting on Social Media is fine but a great approach is to just “LISTEN” & “KIBITZ”.

Don’t over-invest too much Time; use it to:
*** Gain attention of new Prospects by Sharing Content
*** Bring ‘Them’ to your Platform (Website & Email List)
*** Don’t be a ‘Sharecropper’ on Social Media (where you're not the owner)
*** Build your Authority & Reputation
*** Convert these ‘Fans’ & ‘Readers’ into Customers
*** Attract ‘Them’ – Engage ‘Them’ – Convert ‘Them’

My way is NOT the only way.
    Evaluate, Decide & Choose.

Once again Wally as this is a keeper.
So I've learned that the Adsense can hurt your "authority"
Thanks again Wally.

When first getting my website going, I initially put a 3rd party ad on my site (infolinks I believe), but did not like it as it turned so many words in posts into annoying pop-up ads that I turned it off. Will not use that again. I'm also looking into email marketing as it is something I really want to get going for my online business.

Hey thx for this, I was thinking about adding adsense on my WA site, but after reading your blog I decided not to. I have it on another site and honestly its return is pittance, so I think I might remove it once and for all.

Good decision.

Think about it. What do your audience members feel when 'They' see all those Ads that Google puts on you site? Wouldn't it be something like:

"This site will recommend anything… "
"This site will do anything for money…"
"How can I 'Like' & 'Trust' this site?"

Reputation is much more valuable than a little revenue from Adsense.

Adsense may be OK for some kind of site BUT certainly not for an Authority Hub Site.

Thx my friend for sound advice :)

You amaze me....so many helpful articles...you are awesome!

This is some great advice!

Sometimes I get feedback, and that's nice. But if I don't, that's ok. We don't do it for the feedback, we just try to help. And, my friend, you are very good at that!.... Dick

Your best yet Wally. Exactly the same conclusions I have come up with from all the other training. The primary or hub site that feeds the secondary sites.

Good job!

Thanks for the comment.

Let me ask you: do you ever wonder if folks
* benefit from or
* implement or
* use
the information that you Post?

Do you get much feedback beyond a 'thank you'?

Not too often. Usually only on very specific answers that I provide. On posts like this, it gets saved and referenced as the need comes up. Then you don't get the feedback as to how useful it was.

So if I'm not writing content when the post comes up, then I thank you and give an opinion on how valuable the info is.

Have a great day Wally.

I feel pretty lucky to have crossed your path. Your information and knowledge is well received. I thank you 2.45 tons and send you a mighty tailwind.

Thanks for the kind words.

I hope you & others are able to profit from the info.

It would be great to hear some feedback.

I plan to take it to a deeper level in the future, for those that are interested.

Wally
