I was chatting with Kyle in "Live Chat" this morning about an issue I am having with the visibility of banners. Simply put, I have been having an ongoing issue with not being a

Turn off the ad blocker in your browser.

Hi, Marion. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you and thank you for your suggestion.

It was suggested that I do that from "Site Support" Wasn't able to figure it out so, I could use a little help as to how to do that.

Wayne

I did find a Google setting that said "Ads". It has three choices

Block Default
Block
Allow

"Block Default" was the original setting so I'm presuming that I have to change that to "Allow". Is that correct?

I have changed the setting to "Allow" but it hasn't made any difference. :(

And just so you can see what I am dealing with here is a screen capture.

The banner is supposed to be visible below the "Dimensions" and above the "Direct Link"

Perhaps you could give me a heads up on how I can contact Kyle personally? He wanted me to send him a screenshot. I tried sending him a PM but this is where I ended up???

I left Kyle the same message on his profile. Really hope he gest back to me.

If you use Chrome as your browser go to chrome://extensions/ and turn off the ad blocker extension

Hello Marion, and, again thanks for your help.

Thanks for your suggestion. The truth is I have already been into the Chrome Extensions and I actually don't even have the Chrome ad blocker so nothing to shut off.

I am in contact with Kyle so, Perhaps he can help.

Thanks you much again. I appreciate your efforts

I'd ask site support to check it for you

Problem solved Vicki.

Hmm. Good question. Did it say if your comment was accepted or rejected?
If you still have issues, I'd email Carson and ask.
Good Luck,
Suzanne

It seems to have gotten back on track but I think I'm still missing one. It's only $.50 so it's no big deal.

The "Accepted" or "Rejected" part doesn't seem to play a roll in whether or not you get paid. At least that hasn't been my experience.

I might send a note off to Carson anyway just to see what he thinks.

Thanks, Wayne

Hi - no change as far as I am aware. Have you retained your certified commenter status, bearing in mind its a rolling program? Your score is still above 50?

Other than that, although its an expectation that every other comment should earn $0.50, thats not actually the case. It actually depends upon the current economics of the program.

There’s a way to get paid by making comments?
Whaaaat?
Mind. Blown.

Oh yes and they add up faster than you realize...im up to 87.00 earned just from comments.

Good for you. Getting close to $50 myself hoping to get close to 90 before my renewal is due.

Yes one of many great perks of being part of WA!!!

Seems like there are a few people have trouble posting their comments in Site Comments. Will it be fixed soon?

I have contacted site support about this issue they are checking into it now, I let them know that I was not the only person experiencingthis issue.
Will let you know what they say.

Site Support is for technical support for your website. Site Comments is to give and receive comments on website posts. Which are you trying to do?

I understand that. Some of us have been having issues with leaving or posting comments in Site Content. Click on the "Submit My Comment" button and nothing happens.

That's why I sent a message to site help.

I have been a member here for about 2 1/2 years and have often wondered (more recently), about some of the history around WA since your start in 2002 and it's early beginnings

That actually sounds like a great idea...hopefully some of the members that have been around for years will stop by and help you out....all I know is jaxxy has been around for at least 5 years but only recently became included in the WA membership price

As far as I'm concerned, it sounds like an awesome idea !
