A "niche" is simply a market segment that you intend to specialize in either by being an expert already or can invest your time and resources to learn about and perfect. For some days now, I have been seriously thinking about this crazy thing and wondered, "what happens to us who have never settled on liking one thing?". On the other hand, for reasons best known to ourselves, we can't quite concentrate on something and really look deeper to understand a new thing.

Am I the only one?, I guess not since most people in the community are still struggling to come up with a niche despite having successfully gone through task 3 of Entrepreneur certification Level 1 "Choose a Niche".

As a good student of my coach Kyle, I remember him clearly saying during the "Get Rolling" that all the steps are critical in the general experience of WA and the final product. We all are moving at a fast pace with anxiety to fulfill task 2 objective which talks about "how to make money", but are we really on the right track?

Let me take someone back a little, including myself.....

This has rung a bell in my head every time I try to proceed to the next task of the training and I find myself scrolling back to the task.

I have even jumped the gun and built two websites with the assumption that I am to come up with a niche but nooooo....... still struggling.

I would still ask, I am the only one? maybe....

Now, I have finally researched and from my findings, let me share some tips on how to come up with a niche so that we do not mark time.

How do I determine my niche?

A niche should be something interesting to do. You must enjoy researching on it, writing about and allowing your mind to generate ideas for constant engaging of your clients. Therefore, ask yourself...

What is it that I enjoy doing on a daily basis?

It could be anything from interests, hobbies, career, or anything. It could be shopping and if so, what is it that you find yourself attracted to first that you could even impulse buy?

That is for the sake of bringing our minds closer to the niche idea. It actually should not be a struggle.

So, give yourself a few minutes to just think through and remember to have your pen and paper. Someone said that, if it was documented, it was not done!

To make it even easier, here are some tips to help you.

2 Key Tips to Narrowing down to your "Niche"

1. What is your interest?

We all have many things that we like doing, but there is one thing that stands out. It is important to carefully think through and highlight the thing(s) that interest you most. This will definitely be a big step towards finding out your niche.

Something coming to mind? ......yes

List then down up to ten (10) interest areas and with this you can confidently know that you have made a milestone, a great one.

You are just a few minutes to your perfect niche.

2. What problems do you want to solve?

Now that you have the ten(10) interesting things, it is time to ask yourself the second key question.

What is the problem you want to help your readers to solve within the niche?

This one might be a bit confusing but shouldn't. In essence, you are asking yourself,

If I find shopping very interesting, what do I like to buy every time I enter a mall?

It maybe phones for example since you now have the 4th handset since January. Therefore, what has been the problem with the other three handsets?

With your pen and paper still in place, you are noting down the gaps that you feel that your target audience may need solved.

Are we on the same page friends?

Here, we are an inch to our first niche that easily allow us to jump to task 4 and build our website and the rest will be smooth sailing.

Can someone smell a "niche"?

Yes, by this time you have your interest area which is very fulfilling and won't allow you to struggle to come up with ideas and creating your initial website content. It is something that you like and therefore the journey will equally be interesting.

The internet is full of many people who are in the same shoes as yours and direly need help. They want solutions so that they can be comfortable and enjoy following you. Giving them workable solutions from your daily research will make them very happy and therefore you will equally smile your way as you write and earn.

So, roll back to task 3 and apply these 2 key tips and come up with a niche. Enjoy every experience and keenly follow the steps in the training, apply the skills and may your niche make you what you dream of daily as you log back to WA. As days go by, you will have as many niches as can be allowed on WA premium, imagine up to 50websites! that means 50niches.......

As I write this, I just scrolled back to Task 3 of Entrepreneur Certification Level 1 and my interest list is at 6....

Enjoy!

The niche struggle is real, but we get there in the end and hopefully go on to fine tune our niche and websites to be the optimum online resource in our chosen expertise.
