Advice for Newbies ~ Part 1 of 10,000
My advice to everyone comes now after I've had a few days to take the course, study the lessons, read posts and comments are as follows:
- Join Premium and Go For It as soon as you feel you are serious! It contains many additional features you will need...
- Buy your own .com domain name for AT LEAST two years! Google likes that because it shows you are a serious player...
- Don't try to reinvent the WA wheel! Don't take advice that shows you a better way,,, it works just fine as is...
- Watch out where you are getting advice from. I see many members with good intentions giving bad advice...
- Before you seek advice, look at the top of the page. You will see a search block. Ask your question there and pick a contributor you trust... like Kyle and Carson!
Peace, Love and Prosperity to All,
Wallace Carney

Only one problem with training, some things I believe is outdated because Word Press updates change how things work within the building the site process, I had to go out of the box to figure out why it wouldn't work and found a resolve. Thank you for posting this, very valuable information!
I agree! When WP went to 3.9v, a lot changed including editing images but just checked and installed Advanced Image Editing plugin, now I can at least add borders and margins! There's always a way around, right?
I've tried it and it's very simple to use. After inserting an image, click on the image and then click the "pencil" that will take you to edit. The rest is clear except for one thing; when adding borders and/or margins, just enter the pixel size only, like just 5 and not 5px. Regards, Wallace
Well said. It took we a little while to figure all of those things out but every point you made is true. Heed this advice if you are new. I couldn't have said it better myself.

I really like #3Don't try to reinvent the WA wheel
Yes but remember this advise is for newbies. As you go along learning in each course, you are becoming an expert. When you finish, you'll know there are several other wheels that may suit you better, but not until then, right?
I am very slow, technologically challenged, so effectively I am not past the newbie stage. It may take a long time for me.
