Does anyone know if it is ok to transfer a .co.uk domain from GoDaddy to WA for hosting please? I could not get .co.uk domains directly from WA so have instead bought the domai

You can't transfer the domain name because WA only has dot com, dot net and dot org. You can have your dot co dot uk website hosted here. You need to change the DNS (domain nameservers) at GoDaddy.

Thank you MarionBlack. Do you mean I should go to GoDaddy to ask to change DNS, after which I would be able to have the dot co dot uk site hosted at WA?

Sorry MarionBlack, I forgot to ask, what do I change the DNS to? Thanks again.

You change your DNS in Godaddy to the following:

Primary: NS1.MYWAHOSTING.COM
Secondary: NS2.MYWAHOSTING.COM

The link below will explain it all. Sorry it's another link.

Support helped me out. All sorted now and the dot co dot uk is showing on my Site Manager. Many thanks.

Hi Helma,

Give this link a go and see how you get on. .

Thanks johnwai. Unfortunately when I went to the transfer domain page on WA and put in the site address and transfer verification code, I got a message to say ".co.uk TLD not supported." I wonder if there is a way round this. My website is focussed on UK shopping and a .co.uk domain would look so much more specific than a .com domain. By the way, I have also bought the same domain but in the .com version from WA so I could always build that. I just think it would be better to build the whole thing as a .co.uk domain. Any other suggestions anyone? Many thanks.
