I get sign ups here almost daily. Thanks to the banner ads, blogging in IBO, and my social media efforts, my list of referrals here is getting longer and longer everyday.

Unfortunately, none of them are upgrading to premium and I wonder why.

As an sponsor to these people, I think I have already done my part---promoted WA, set up the follow up message to automatically post in the new member's profile in a timed manner alongside Kyle's messages, and assurance that I'm going to help them build a business here.

In fact, I even took the username "Coach Gom" to signify that I am so much willing to help anyone joining me, even if it means staying awake til 2:00 AM.

But whenever I look at the profiles of the referrals, all I see are blank faces, with no sign of life!

Why are some people who are not caring about referrals bagging home big commissions from WA? While others who are unselfishly willing to help, these are all we got?

I wonder how could I act better to make these people come to life?

All I have are their aliases (usernames), there are no contact numbers to call, no email address to send a follow up message, no social media profiles, no other way to wake them up.

If only WA will ask and display the full names of these people in the profiles, then we sponsors will have a way to search for them in the social media sites to ask, "I saw you joined WA and have not done anything. How can I help you?"

If you want me to look at your conversion process, I can. Our top affiliates are converting around 40% from Starter to Premium, so it really depends on how you promote WA to people before they get in the door.

We have a conversion process that people go through in terms of marketing on our end, but if they don't know what they are joining or what they will be doing (and aren't aware of the price points), that can absolutely hurt conversions.

Drop ME a PM with traffic details, what page people go to before joining WA, source of traffic and any other information you can give me and i will be happy to give you a hand here.

Thanks Kyle for coming up here! I'm glad that you are willing to go extra mile helping us.

Perhaps, it's too early for me to make a conclusion of what's happening with my marketing. I was away for one year and back here only barely one week. But marketing aggressively via banner ads and blogging outside WA.

Maybe you're right, if people have little idea what are they joining, then it might not really lead to good conversion. I am driving cold traffic via banner ads in sites like IBO Tool Box, although most of the people there are online entrepreneurs, they are affiliated with one or two companies, so WA may not be their top priority yet.

Another thing, I suspect some of these people are coming from the Philippines (as I myself is a Filipino), they were joining and the moment they learn they can't join for free and not yet ready for premium, they end up abandoning the account set up process.

Honestly, quite frustrating, but I won't be giving up. Sooner or later, along the way, I will stumble on a few gems that will stick with the vision we have here.

I have a similar problem. Getting 2, 3, 4, sometimes 5 in the door per day, they all remain ghosts.

I was also wondering why, the same as CoachGom, I get lots in the door but they don't even bother to upload a pic and write something.

I have multiple entry points set up. There's my WA review, there's a lead capture page comes from Instagram, there's links under videos in youtube, links on my facebook page, links on my twitter, links everywhere I can think of...

When I joined WA, it was through your link, Kyle, and the link I clicked on simply said...

Struggling to make money online? Click here...

That was link I saw in a forum, somewhere. It converted me when I arrived here. Went premium after 6 days.

You do have a short window of opportunity to get them more interested. Send them more than the 'followup email' in the automatic system. (they have access to the PM system for seven days!)

Privacy concerns do matter when dealing with their email addresses and such.

Other members who get their freebies to upgrade manage to do this. (Don't get me wrong- I have 4 freebies, right now and none of them have gone premium either although I tried everything)

Oh, thank you for that. Thanks for reminding us that these free members have access to the PM system for 7 days, so within this period I can send them a message asking how can I help.

You bet`, but (BIG but), don't send them one every day - this kinda shows them you are going to be a pain in the A**!

Just give them some nits and tips that you have found helpful, early on that will encourage them!

They cannot PM within the first 7 days, that is Premium only.

I apologize for giving them a feature they do not have, however, the good, persistent Coach can use their profile to send them some comments!

I am sorry, Kyle, that I lead someone somewhat astray and, Coach, please forgive me for this Blunder!

Hi, Kyle!

They can't PM us, but we can PM them, right? Or has that changed?

I remember, shortly after joining as a free member, I got a PM from you.

It was SO frustrating, seeing that PM button highlighted in red and not being able to do anything about it until I upgraded, lol.

It's okay. No problem. I appreciate your willingness to help. :)

Shouldn't they be able to PM their sponsored link for extra guidance if needed?
This feature would surely improve the join up percentage.

Take a look at Kyle's response. I agree it would certainly help and maybe that can be another update, but, or right now, Kyle and Carson are guiding us in the right direction!

no, you cannot PM them at all until they go premium.

I agree. No they can't use PM unless they subscribe.

I am also pretty sure the banner at top for starter members with the countdown timer telling them to go premium also puts them off. It's too much pressure. It's like ....

Go premium quick, come on, go premium, give us some money, come on, go premium now, quick, you'll be booted out if you don't go premium within 7 days.

That's the impression they get, anyways...

They don't know like we know that they can actually stay for free forever. But that banner up top gives them the immediate impression they have to go premium quick or they're gonna be locked out.

You need to let them know!

How can that be done if they don't even look at their own profiles?

If WA can't provide us the email or contact info of the new sign ups, at least WA should provide names. In other companies, they provide names of the new referrals, and I think there's nothing wrong with it as other companies are doing it. The fact that they have registered here, it is understood that they have given WA consent. We are not asking for the email addresses, just the names of the new referrals be displayed in their profiles or confidentially to us so we can look for them in social media and attempt to make friends with.

In the current setting, the new sign ups look like bots.

How do you know they are NOT looking at their profile?

Don't set yourself up for failure right off the bat!

Coach; Kyle is trying to play it very safe for everyone! This is the system and, in EVERYTHING ELSE, they have a GREAT one!

Okay. If that's the case, then I think the only way we can work this problem around is to make friends with people, establish close relationship with them, before we even lead them to WA. Something like, "Hello buddy, how are you doing? You said yesterday that you're joining WA today, have you joined?". Something like that. Be in close coordination WITH EVERY prospect we want to bring here, one by one. Manual type like MLM.

Sounds logical to me, Mickey.

While I understand your desire, that seems like unlikely to happen anytime in the near future. Sharing that information without permission is very dangerous for WA and could potentially result in WA getting sued. This is especially true based on data privacy restrictions in countries throughout the European Union.

I also personally have zero interest in ever exposing my full name on WA and I think it is a wonderful community.

Don't worry, those referrals are under Kyle's mailing list and he keeps sending follow up emails to them. Even this blog will be a follow up email to them.

I know because my wife and daughter are free members here.

Cheers,

Belden
