A Premium member that was grandfathered in to the "PREMIUM" subscription back in 2019 (I think) which included the 25 websites and other benefits not on offer on the new "Premium" Subscription now. They decide to go for the "Premium Plus +" subscription to see what it is all about.

If the next year they could not afford the "Premium Plus+" subscription but want to go back to the "Premium" subscription, would they get the previously grandfathered in price of $299 and the bells and whistles which were offered at that time and not in the new "PREMIUM" subscription which only includes 10 websites as opposed to 25 websites.

Thanks

You would be back down to the 10 websites if you were to move back to Premium at a later date, as that membership has changed.

You would not be moving back to the old membership. The Premium Plus+ allows for 50 any type websites, so it is a much higher level of hosting, versus 25/25 which used to be the old set-up.

I hope this clarifies for you. ;)

Thanks Kyle,

Would those members (Premium Plus+ members who upgraded from their grandfathered in Premium Membership at $299), still be grandfathered in at the $299 rate as previously offered or would the price change too?

I understand about losing 15 of the additional websites as they had previously when they had 25.

I know some members want to try the new top tier subscription but worry on the affordability for the renewal in 2022 in these uncertain times!

Thank you :-)

NO, they are not grandfathered in, but that is not to say we won't offer the $299 next year if you were to ever want to go back to Premium. So something to consider.

In most cases when you’re grandfathered in on a package, it means the package stays the same up until you make a change to that package. Now, if you had actually built 25 websites and changed the package by upgrading and then downgrading back, you’re not going to lose your websites. But if you have say 2 websites and then upgrade and downgrade I’d imagine the total you can build would go down from 25 to the current 10.

In my opinion, the benefits of what comes with Premium Plus, especially with it’s Black Friday pricing, greatly outweigh losing the grandfather status.

Hi Eric,

I agree about the benefits of Premium Plus but some may find they can't reach the subscription fee next time around and have to go back a stage and members are asking the question which is a reasonable question.

For me I hope I will stay at the top level! :-)

Thanks for the content you have provided too, I've already learnt something ref YouTube Videos! Thanks
