Hi all

The last time I ran a PPC campaign I missed the opportunity to capture email addresses and sent respondents from my landing page to my affiliate link.

I would rather not do that again but haven't found a simple way to do it. So when they sign up, they would need then need to confirm their subscription by email, then would get the email inviting them to sign up for WA which is too many steps.

Has anyone found a way around this?

Thanks for any thoughts.

J

I'm in agreement with Dale, its the whle purpose of advertising is to capture email addresses. I use Thrive for this which gives me a mass of different options both in terms of PPC and within the blog.

If you wanted to capture emails & follow up with them you'd need to send them to a landing page first. You could set the thank you page to redirect straight to WA via your affiliate link.

I see what you're trying to achieve, to cut down the steps... But let's say users were automatically added to your list right after signing up to WA, it wouldn't be very good because you haven't built a relationship with them prior... So when you email, they'll wonder "who are you".

Ideally you want to create a landing page on which you introduce yourself, how you will help, then capture their email & bridge them into WA on the "thank you" page.

Thanks, Dale. Yeah, I have a landing page that takes them to a sign-up page (also mine but linked to Aweber) then Aweber automatically shows them a thank you page and sends them an email (GDPR rules) to make sure they want to opt-in.

Then they would get the first email to sign up to WA. Not sure if I can make the thank you page what it would need to be... Will investigate some more.

If only WA had an auto-responder...

WA does followup, Kyle & Carson continue sending emails to all members that you refer.

I use AWeber too, you can definitely create custom thank you pages (or redirect straight to WA via affiliate link).

I could do that - I used to have the first 10 WA lessons in an email sequence but I'd rather not. Thanks, Phil.

how else are you going to give them something of perceived value for them to give you their email in exchange...
i would create a seperate course rather than having the first 10 lessons ...which is what they are going to get anyway...they will feel cheated....

That was only to build my list- it wouldn'tbe appropriate for this. I'm just trying to keep it simple - my aim is WA sign ups but trying not to miss the opportunity of data capture. I know lots of the others have created courses and might so myself one day but it won't be any time soon. Best, Jean
