I'm enjoying the WA Bootcamp but I'm realizing that reviewing other programs in the same category as WA is not super exciting for me-making it difficult to write about.

Is anybody else taking it in a different direction? For instance, I LOVE everything about WA and I want to share it with all of my (future) followers, but comparing it next to "Scams!" etc just isn't connecting with me.

Or does it make too much since to show how "less than" system A is compared to joining Wealthy Affiliate? (Hope this makes sense!)

Hey Stephanie,

Not sure how you got started with Bootcamp but the training under Get Started Here (top left sidebar) is the training I advise anyone who wants to learn affiliate marketing, to start.

Bootcamp is usually suggested for those who cannot figure out a niche. As long as you have things you enjoy, you can always find a niche.

Here are some tutorials to help you with selecting a niche: Hope this helps you.

You can go with the tutorial side of things. Teaching how to blog, how to make money online, how to build a website, tools for building a website, WordPress theme reviews. Just a few Ideas off the top of my head.

I posted this in the general forum however as the squeakiest wheel (squeak squeak) gets the oil I'll post it here as well - my question is "what are the accepted guidelines for promoting WA online, eg: when putting links in advertising can we put our main WA link in or do we hyperlink keywords in the text etc" - as doing things online is new to me I want to start on the right foot.

hyperlinking text in your content is the best way to promote although there are many banners that you can use both in your content and in a widget on your sidebar.

Click on the airplane icon and Program details for more information.

I want to connect and promote Wealthy Affiliates. Does anyone know how I can do that? I am NEW at this. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

on sites such as Fiverr there are plenty of offers to send one's website to their mailing list. But some of them could be spamming operators, just beaming your website to non-consenting email addresses - causing the risk of having you banned from the internet server in question. Is there any way of telling the "good guys" from the "bad guys" here?
Reply

Fiver mailing lists are suspect. I would stay away from all of those.

Do you have any tips on promoting WA in the beginning? Especially when you're just starting out and haven't seen any monetary gain yet...I'm still going through all the training and I am so excited to start sharing this opportunity. But it's hard to convince people when you can't show them the proof yet.

While I am still in training, I offer the fact you signed up. That proves the system works. We can show any one the wealth of training and the fact that WA is a helpful place. If it was enough for you to choose WA, then you can sell them the same benefits.

I put the picture in there. Then I click on the insert/ edit link. I've tried putting it in both places when it opens up. The search one and the url one.

To add the banner and code just copy the code of the banner you want and then paste it into the edit section of your post page. After you do that click on visual and go back to your post. You will find the picture has loaded there and when you click on it you will be taken to WA sign up page. Hope this helps to solve your porblem with banners. Margaret

so I climbed into Affiliate Bootcamp course 1 and am at lesson 5 (2 days), it is a different take here within Wealthy Affiliate, so I am excited to see where it will lead,
without neglecting my certification course and my participation within the WA community, which I enjoy,
all in all, I am kept quite busy and I love it, it gives me a sense of purpose and motivation which I have not felt since college

Hi Dave. I kind of had a similar issue. I bought a domain when I first joined premium and named it queenninja...
At first I had this idea for an online store w/in a certain niche. Then I realized, like I'm assuming you have, that it was best for me to learn about developing websites etc by going through A-Bootcamp.
So, through the bootcamp I decided that my niche would be targeting actors who want to get out of the restaurant/bar industry and do something even better that offered flexibility - WA.
But bc I purchased queenninja, I asked Kyle if I should keep that name or purchase a more direct domain name that was geared toward my niche.
He actually said he liked QN and that it would give me the ability to go broader later. I was thinking I should put it on hold and buy a new domain name.
Which I think would be an option for you...Plus, I get the impression that we will be purchasing more domains as we go along and get the hang of it.
And you definitely don't have to delete it. Once you own the domain, you just make sure you renew it annually and you will still have it.
Hope that helps :)

Figuring out where to share my links to WA and my site has been the most challenging for me. I don't want to use my personal FB account so I started a business page. I joined Google+ and shared it there. What are some more free or low cost options for this? Any advice is much appreciated, thanks!!

If you are not willing to use your personal account, it shows you are not very confident in your online business. I started out with the same feelings. Now I share my websites everywhere with anyone. On my Personal Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google+.

I am not saying don't use a business account. I am just saying the more I worked on my sites, the more l cared for them and wanted to show people my websites. And I didn't like having to keep switching accounts on social media. If you can personally get your friends to share/retweet things then you can capture much more views.

Thank you so much for your reply. That's an awesome point and I wasn't thinking about it from that perspective at all. I just know how I react when some of my FB friends send out ads and such. Awhile back I decided I wanted to try to be a copywriter, and I thought I'd need a business page on FB for that, so I created that page. Didn't ever do anything with it, so maybe I'll try to get that page going. Any other ideas on places to promote WA would be greatly appreciated!

While your sites are still young, don't try to sell anything yet. Just Keep learning. Trust me, if you keep learning, the pieces eventually fall into place.
This is an extremely amazing way to make money, but as all the rich guys say, take your time. And I say, just learn, and once you learn everything WA has, expand. I am in so many different learning curves right now, along with my WA sites.

In Social Media like Facebook, Start by sharing your newest post on your website, EVERY time you write one. You will become much more comfortable and people will start to learn what you are doing, the ones you are close to, take advantage of shares they can give you, just by asking.

You can even try this training out, if you are a member of an affiliate program, like Amazon Associates. You Can try this and build more confidence in selling and letting others know what you are doing (refer them to WA... Commission $$$). If someone else is interested in selling on Social Media, Send them to your WA referral sign up.

I am that way right now as I am still new and establishing my website. Once I have more of a base and see success, then I would have no problem using my personal accounts instead of a business one. A lot of times people want to see that you have been successful (i.e. made a sale, brought in traffic, etc.) before coming on board.
Reply
Huffman Premium
Yes this is true, but its also nice to get support from others while your site is young and it will grow much quicker. If you can share your post with 10 friends and they also share your post. Your post has been seen by potentially thousands.
If you can catch the eyes of readers with your title, you can get many views to your site.

In no way do I mean to tell you what to do, but this is a secondary option for you to think about!

I've been involved in other marketing programmes such as Empower Network, MLSP and CarbonCopyPro. The nearest I've come to WA is Empower which has great training on how to sell Empower but only pays lip service to creating niche websites via their blogging platform. The key difference is that with WA, we own our websites so if at any point someone decides to leave they are able to take their online 'real estate' with them. This also protects that real estate in the unlikely event of WA ever finishing for whatever reason. With Empower, they own your blogs - all you are doing is renting them so when you leave your content and everything you have built is gone, as it would be if Empower were ever gone. As for MLSP and CCPro, there is great training on marketing and personal branding which is primarily aimed at Network Marketers but there are so many spammy upsells within the system it becomes very tiresome. With WA, your Premium membership fee gets you access to all current and future trainings and teaches you the technical stuff the other programmes don't teach. It's by far the best programme out there to get a newbie on the path to success or to take an established business owner to new levels. I just wish I'd found it before I found the others and spent thousands!

I'm putting my ducks in a row and am building an awsome site (at least I think so).
Just wanted to share something - When I started I was thinking about how to build the site, topics, pages, stress, etc.
However as I started looking into the themes and possibilities my focus changed to - how can I provide the best and complete value for the person that will visit my site.
Now I see my site as a finished product and I'm just working on catching up with my vision.

I plan on creating more than one niche site. I started with WA as sort of a blueprint, and it's an awesome opportunity to share. Also, Everything is outlined so well, and it definitely has been a great place to start. It's like a plug and play niche. On occasion while I'm trying to complete the lesson steps, I get way ahead of myself, which leads to more questions than I have answers obviously, and then it hits me like a cool breeze on a hot summer day, I don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just take it one lesson at a time with the confidence that if I get stuck, no worries, I'm part of a program and community that has the answers.
Reply
JacquelineS1 Premium
Yeah I know what you mean about skipping ahead with the lessons. It's like reading a book and being impatient so you skip ahead a few pages just to see what happens - and then wish you didn't.

You're so right, we don't have to reinvent the wheel, it's all in good working order we just need to take it all in - one step at a time...

Cheers,

Jacqueline

Hey D
I advise you to do the training and wait on Bootcamp. Work at building a website with what you are passionate about. As you go through the classes you will then learn and get more informed as to exactly what WA is and how the community is here to support, then you will have first hand knowledge about how WA works and all it's awesome benefits. Then promoting WA comes easier to explain to others cus you yourself have first hand knowledge. Hope this helps you.
Blessings on your accomplishments.

I have said this elsewhere but I will repeat it again: even at this early stage, without having sold a single thing or having made a single penny, I am finding WA a lifesaver. The positivity of the community, the excellent training, the opportunity to connect with people and offer my own voice as support and encouragement is amazing and has made my membership totally worthwhile.

I would love to have more hours each day to devote to building my business, but I know that slow and steady is better, so I am just taking things one step at a time.
