Today is the lesson where we make our entrance into the world of keywords. Many of you are probably wondering why I haven't even considered keywords up to this point and I explain that in detail within today's lesson. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wa-affiliate-bootcamp-content-keywords-and-conversions/google-instant-a-day-of-selling If you have any questions about this lesson, please post them here. Also, if you want anyone to review today's new post that you add to your website (related to "selling"), please post it here and we will all have a look and provide feedback. Enjoy!

Great advice from Kyle about why we should not stuff our content with keywords and clarifying why Google will penalize us for doing this.
I previously thought that Google only noticed the keyword phrases that are included in the keyword section of your Wordpress admin area, but it seems they pick up on it all through the content of your page / post.
In my Wealthy Affiliate review, the titles of my paragraphs were previously all keyword based and I've now changed that.

Hi, I took a look at your website. It is very clean and simple. I like that. However, here are some suggestions about placing you keywords correctly.
1. Why Affiliate Marketing - Try to reword your paragraph including a sentence like this: In the article I will share with you why affiliate marketing is my #1 choice.
2. Website That Makes Money - Perhaps you were looking for a way to build a website that makes money.
3. Become a Successful Affiliate Marketer - There are certain tasks that must be accomplished in order to become a successful affiliate marketer. I will share those tasks with you in this post.

In all of these sentences the exact key words should be in the first paragraph. Your review looked good.

Copy and paste your content into the site content. It will help you correct your English sentence structure. This may take some time to make the corrections on your site, but it will be correct. (I'm sensing some broken English. If that is your target audience.)

Finally, add some images. There were images on some of the posts, but not all. It will break up the content a bit. And people like to SEE what you're talking about.

I liked the links back to your other pages!

Overall, some very good content! Keep up the good work!

Opps, I didn't finish my sentence. If that is your target audience then it might be okay to leave it as it is. I would encourage you to correct it, though. :)

Hi and thanks for your reply!

Jaaxy has been a step up from the other keyword searches. It's allowed me to research thoroughly each word and phrase and helps me choose the best keywords for rankings. I can analyze each more closely and also find domain availability when searching for the right domain.

I hope this helps!

Hi Luther. A couple quick tips that I immediately noticed on that page. I think it sounds better to say "earn money online" rather than "earn money from online." ..."from" online feels awkward? the other is something I caught on my first site that I am currently building... the "author" part of an article and it says written by "admin." It should either be your name or leave it off. I, quite honestly, could not figure how to change my postings from "admin" to my name; so I just eliminated the author designation. I hope you find this helpful. Keep up the good work!

Simply go to settings and then general in dashboard area, and delete any text that may be in the Tagline box (2nd box down). Hope that helps a few people!

Please, review my post for the Lesson
Understanding Keywords & Selling Keywords

Part 1.
List of keywords - QSR

Making actual money online – 40
Can I make a little extra money online – 2
Making extra money online legitimately – 27
Making money online platform – 31
Best making money online platform – 0
Best make money online platform - 20
How to make actual money online – 12
How can I make real money online -12
Make money online from home – 55
Make money online while travelling – 35
Make money online from anywhere - 97
Make money easy online – 29

I decided to go with How can I make real money online -12 keyword:
- it has a question
- it sounds natural
- it has very low QSR
- I just like it to have for the Headline

Part 2. Article

How Can I Make Real Money Online? Great Question. Here's How!

If you ask tis question, than you already understand that you actually CAN make real money online. You just do not know HOW TO START. Right?

Don't worry, it is a common thing, really. There are a lot of guys there, including myself, who wanted to start making real money online, but did not know what to do step by step. I will share my experience with you, and help you out.

Well, first of all did you pick some product you want to sell? If yes, that's cool. If not – don't worry. There are simple steps to choose YOUR product.

So, OK. Here we have a fork on our road: if you already have the product in mind skip this section; if you do not know yet – stay with me.

I Do Not Know What Product To Choose To Start Making Money Online
I would recommend then the following steps for you to take.
a) open google, and type in there «best affiliate marketing programs 2017»
b) there is a huge list of sites with more or less relevant reviews
c) pick any you wish, any that catches your eye (if you ask me for advice, I would pick https://www.forexreferral.com/best-affiliate-programs#Highest-Paying-Affiliate-Programs
d) open any of the reports you like, and search for the highest paying affiliate products in your list. By this I mean the following:
- ideally this products (programs/services) should give you recurring commission
- commission rates should be high – I would suggest no less than $20 per month
So now, just scroll through this list and find what you really are interested in to dive in, invest your time in.

To make it straight – you will have to write different kinds of reviews about the chosen product, and that would be your main job to make sales happen regularly, thus to make real money from home, or while travelling.

Now you have your product to promote. What's next.

The Following Steps Are To Make When You Have Your Product Chosen

Now the main thing to do is understand WHO are those people you want help to choose YOUR product, and eventually buy.

WHO – it is quite simple really. Who – are the group of people SEARCHING TO BUY your product.

The main idea is quite simple – people SEARCH for answers (as you did yourself when you searched for making real money online).

And the main secret here is that they search in their own unique way.
Now what you are going to do next just right away!

WATCH VIDEO WITH THE STEPS, described below. After that, you can read it to refresh.

Video link (with the described below process)

Go google.
a) type in the search your product name
b) add any letter you want AFTER your product name, for example a, b, c, w. Type literally any letter you like, and notice the phrases appearing right below your search. This is Google helping you write tips on exact searches which your potential customers have already typed before.
c) the list of phrases you have using this simple technique – is actually the first step to answer the question about WHO you are going to sell Your Product.
d) When you have the list of phrases in place, you should check them for the competition. Do not worry it is as simple, as typing phrases in Google search.
Go Jaaxy.com
You have free trial for 30 searches. Use it.

All you have to do, is to type the list of phrases (one after another) into the Jaaxy keyword search and check the column QSR for the lowest possible number, less than 40 ideally.
Now this done, you have the list of WHO, and how exactly they search for Your Product. So YOU NOW KNOW how to deliver (promote) your product.

Write Reviews
using the low competition phrases. Do it naturally, keeping in mind that you are trying to help your potential customers to find the right product for them – YOUR Product.

Build Your Own Site
This is really easy to do. Trust me, I did not know how to do it, and I managed to build it and start posting articles on My Own Site just in a few hours (with the help of step by step video training).

Video link (with the process of building site from WA lesson)

Post Your Awesome Articles On Your Own Website

Get Traffic From Those Who Want To Buy Your Product

Receive Commissions = Make Real Money Online

You can easily do everything described above by yourself. Although, I would recommend to use the best make money online platform to accelerate your online journey.

The platform that I personally use each and every day, and the platform which is now helping me to help you to get started. I myself got started with the help of this platform. And in less than a week I had this very site you are now reading with 6 posts on it. On day 10 after start I actually made my first potential client.

Here I have a warning to make! Please DO understand, that to make real money online you have to invest your time and efforts on a constant basis, regularly. Making real money IS POSSIBLE, it just takes time.

Join the platform which I myself use everyday and consider it the best way to start making real money online and to get going.

Try it for yourself, it is open, transparent, helpful and it is really free to try. (my affiliate link here)

Best luck to You

Sincerely,
Andrey

per 'site' is too broad a question but per page people usually shoot for one targeted keyword and then rely on their content to produce more naturally, that is why aim for posts at least 1500 words

Reply

Hello, congrats on your progress thus far. The first thing you should realize is that there is no perfect post the first time you write and publish.you can always go back and update the post or age as you see fit. It is not very advisable to link every post to your WA review page except when you are doing a review of other products and you want to promote your number one product, then you can link to your review page. This makes your site look well organized and not like one big affiliate promotion and it for a long way to build customer trust which will increase conversion.

Hi I am a little confused, when I put my key words into the WA Key Word Competition section it comes up with the grid with stats on how many searches etc but when I hit the view results button it doesn't take me to the google pages like it did in the video, I just get a box which says Keyword competition, then in the middle of the box key word QSR and a number, can anyone help me on this as I am getting really confused?

TIA
Reply
RikaSF Premium
Hi Julie. The QSR (number) is the number that indicates the competition you will have in Google. It does not take you to the competition pages.

If you want to see the competition pages, you have to search in Google for your keywords. When you do your search in Google, put it in quotes to get an exact search result. For example: "this is your keyword".

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding this, by just replying to this message:)

You have a nice start, Darleen. The things I saw that you might want to change are simple enough. Your menu in your header is pretty long so not sure if they are pages or posts. That does come up in the training. Not sure if you have done that one yet. Just something to think about.
Shopify is pretty good about getting it done quickly so you should hear soon.

What an absolute great lesson this was. It opened my eyes completely. I've been writing articles pertinent to building websites right, how to be the boss, and how to make money from anywhere, but not realizing just how infinite my articles based on these themes could be.

Great lesson!

Hi, Phil!
Took a look at your post. Your writing is to the point. Nice images, too. The only thing I can suggest about them is to maybe make the first one (illustration of stacked books) a little narrower. Finally, in the two sentences after "4. Editing":
"This is what you’ve hours on. Don’t let errors slip through the cracks"
there is a missing word in the 1st sentence and the 2nd needs a period.

Keep up the good work! Everything looks open and clean.

OK on Jaxxy I see a column called QSR which should be ideally be under 300. Did I understand that right? And the traffic which ideally should be above 50.... Is that the information in the column called traffic on the Jaxxy column or is it "Avg."
Reply
Colestock198 Premium
You are understanding the QSR (quoted search results) number correctly, this should "ideally" be under 300. This is the exact number of sites indexed under the exact keyword or phrase that you are searching.

As for the number you want to be over 50, that would be the average monthly searches or the number on the far left. This is how many people are typing this exact search term into google and hitting enter.

The traffic column is the estimated number of people that would click through to your site from their google search in a given month, IF your website is indexed on the first page of google.

Hope this helps!

Reply
cuppatea Premium
These people are looking to sell online to make money, so you sell them the means to do that which is to sign up with WA and build their own website. So i.e someone searching how to sell books online, you write an article of "How to sell books online" then you go about explaining the different ways they could do that, i.e ebay, Amazon, shopify and so on and then your #1 recommendation of buildling their own site and selling through that, and how do they get their own website? by signing up to wealthy affiliates through your link.

Here's one I wrote on selling crafts online

I was doing keyword research and I saw that the term "how to promote products online" has 0 websites ranked for it. Is it because it is too long because i see lots of competition for abbreviated versions of that? And would I be able to get ranked for that?
Reply
Michelle04 Premium
Hi. I just looked it up on the keyword tool here and it is showing a competition of 60 and monthly searches of 112. This would be a good low hanging fruit keyword in my opinion. Usually when you see a zero for competition, it is inaccurate.

This is a long tailed keyword as well, and if you write quality content, you have a good chance of ranking well for this particular keyword phrase.

Looks great as a keyword! Your website should consist of pages and posts/blogs. With posts or blogs the same is meant and they are dated. Pages are not and will be static. If you are saying that you have a lot to add then a page will be more suitable.

That's what I'm talking about Robert. I have been a member of this awesome community since June of last year and every day I spent 16 hours on this.

This is the part where I have been always criticized and I am really losing self confidence now that is why I don't post anymore on some of the pages here (just on the give and take page).

I really do appreciate being frank with me, because for me once a comment has been said, especially here it's already been read by many so why not go straight to the point right?

I have invested one year membership here and with the way the comments always on typos and spelling errors with my articles, I guess this is not for me.

Who will check my site if its full of errors, people will just think it's a bogus site (that is how I will see it too!).

Thanks a lot for having the time and appreciate it much. I don't communicate here as much as I want to for this reason. I mean, who will spend their time communicating with me when they are having a hard time understanding what I wrote here?

Hey burnz...This is the part where you need to hang in there. You are putting in the time and the effort and that has an enormous amount of worth. What does come through in your site is your enthusiasm and drive. I am just a grammar geek. Even so, I have my struggles and ups and downs and second thoughts. Success, though, will favor the ones who hang in there, find solutions, stay upbeat, talk to their team mates, and let nothing drag them down and NEVER give up! So, this is EXACTLTY for you. Find your solution and move forward. If you would like to try it, send your article to me @ robertmalin172@yahoo.com I will fix the grammar and send it back. Marketers do this all the time. Is that do able? If so, you have found your solution!! When you are writing it, save it as a draft. Copy and paste it into an email. Send it to me and you will have it back within a day so you can publish. And God bless your continuing effort. Hi Craig I'm not sure what you're asking. Not every article goes to the first page of google immediately. Some move slowly over time. You don't need to add additional keywords to your post - that's just keyword stuffing and you could find yourself penalised for doing so. I would just concentrate on adding additional content to your site.

(I would edit the post - 'rat race' shouldn't have capital letters in anything but the headings or subheadings.) :) Beverley

I love your use of images, but they are hard to make out. Instead of aligning them right you may want to align them in the center at full size. This way they will be much more legible and it will make much more sense to your audience.

Wonderful job on the content though Chris, looking good man!

Post looks great, one recommendation I would have for you is to sign out your content not just with your name, but also use an image. It will create that instant connection with your audience and lead to much more interaction. :)

Hey Kyle,

So it is a good idea to sign each post/article with your name-but what do you mean by image? A personal image/photo? Or do you just mean use an image that goes along with the article/post?

Thanks.

MyJobKiller-Left you a comment on your site. :)

I just meant that you use personal image as part of your signature. You don't have to do this, but it is just an idea.

One thing where I think you are missing the boat within this post (content is great) is the visuals. If I came to your page and saw some typical "household items" as the examples on your page and you told me how these specific items (show me) could be sold on the Internet, this would make much more sense to me and visually connect better as well.

Just a suggestion here.

The last section I would make:

Learn How to Effectively Promote Amazon Products

...then tell people that in order to earn revenue with the amazon affiliate program, you need to understand the concepts of getting a website up and running, creating content, getting traffic, and then the actual promotions. That is where you can get help within WA and you can get your FREE amazon ready sites in any niche up and running minutes from now.

That is how I would suggest you do the promotional tie in.

Thanks @Kyle ! I didn't like that last section either.

Left you a comment. I noticed there wasn't proper spacing between paragraphs on your page and you will want to fix that. It really does take away from readability.

Hello all, please take a look at the page that I added for this lesson and give me some feedback (comments on the page also welcome) http://realbiz.siterubix.com/online-business/how-to-sell-other-peoples-products-online

I have not added pictures yet, I just wanted to get the content out there in the meantime and will continue finding pictures and adding them.

thanks

Not a fan of the big header image. I would remove this under the theme settings. This is totally detracting from you content. Leave the visuals for inside the pages or posts...this way they will always be relevant to the page at hand.

That isn't bad, but the reason you are telling people is that you are trying to cover so much within one post. How to Market...should be "how to market keywords using the alphabet soup technique". You are trapping yourself by having such a broad title.

If you chose a title like this you would be able to show someone how to do something. :)

Hey Scott, great walk through of the different options of how to sell electronics online. I tried to leave a comment/question on the page but it said I had to be logged in and when I clicked the link it directed me to your site to log in. Not sure what that was about.
My suggestion for option 1 would be to put the logos of eBay, Amazon, Craigslist and Facebook. Only because we know users scan the page and they will automatically see the sites they can sell their electronics on.
Also, on all options why not do a quick bullet list of the pros and cons. This way your users will see what the benefits vs negatives are quickly.
Just a few suggestions to help your visitors. :)
PS your site is looking great!!!

It's always like that. We work on our stuff too much that it takes someone else to see things that could make it better. It happens all the time to me. That's why I love that Kyle has us giving suggestions to each other. I'm just so glad I could help. It's coming together very nicely.
One more thing I noticed is the spacing. In some parts of the text it looks like there are several spaces between lines.
Keep it up Scott, you're well on your way. ;)

Excellent article. Your image is not linked to the training video at WA, so I recommend that you link to that via your affiliate link. Good job on your article!

Ok, I wrote up a post on "How to sell items on eBay" and I'm having trouble tying in WA to it. I'm thinking about asking my readers if they have ever thought about not only selling their items but selling other's as well and making money that way.
I'd love some feedback on how to incorporate WA into. I wrote it on eBay because I know how to buy and sell but just recently signed up for their affiliate program.

Anyway...here is my page. http://howtoaffiliatemarketingguide.com/how-to-sell-items-on-ebay/

Thanks bunches ~ Audrey

There are a few video trainings here at WA about ebay. Why not use your affiliate link and suggest for those who are visual learners to check out this video https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/the-basics-of-selling-on-ebay

Oh Wendy you are goooood! I hadn't even thought about that. I guess the question I have is wether or not a non member of WA is able to see the entire training? I think I saw in chat the other day Kyle said something, I think it was to Rich, about non members only being able to view the first or second page of the training.

I actually just logged out and tried that link and I got to the second page before a really nice screen popped up with a video and an opportunity to sign up to continue with the training.

I think it might actually work great to people to sign up.

You ROCK Wendy!!! Thank you so much.

I think they can see the page that you send them to, but if they try to click to another page, they get a pop up telling them they need to be a member. Which is good for you since it is your affiliate link.

Marketing your products, regardless of where you are selling them, is very important. People that sell on ebay are definitely interested in making money...and they likely need a website, they need traffic...and support and help to build their business.

Question about keywords. I have followed the steps and created a post around my keyword. I didn't include my keyword in the post anywhere other than the title. Is it not okay to include it in my article? This confused me a bit because somewhere along the way I was taught to use the keyword in the title and 1st paragraph? Can someone help clarify?
Reply
Kyle Premium
I do recommend that you try to use it within your first paragraph and then write the rest o the article naturally, but it is OK to have more instances of the keyword if your article is natural.
