Hi Everybody! I've been in Bootcamp so I haven't been getting my mail on time and the rations are 100% content fiber and H3 proteins. Making for a strong and healthy "site" body indeed!

Ok, here are the questions, we are linking a bunch of target links in the H3 of our content. And I assume we are going to be adding banners and such soon enough so the question to you guys is,

1. How many "WA" in content headinglinks are too many and how many are too few per 1200 words or so?

2. When we make the in-content links should we direct it to open in a new window or do we allow it to take us off the site and straight to the WA site?

I know we will all have opinions...lol. But what is the general rule of thumb? We already have a proven system so what would that be?

Thanks in advance!

Glenn

Hi ... The general rule of thumb is one link per 500 words. That being said, as long as your post appears to be helpful and not just aimed at making a sale, you should be fine to add more on some occasions.

As for the question on opening to a new window, if the link is an external link taking the user to a new site YES you will always want it to open in a new window. Otherwise, they get directed away from your site and may not find their way back.

If, on the other hand, the link is an internal link where they are just being directed to another post/page within your site it is fine to not open in another window.

Best, Shannon

That is what I figured but I didn't know if going to WA and leaving the site as a possible strategy to make it harder to return on purpose.

TY so much for your time!

Well if they come to WA through one of your personal links they will already be your referral as WA has a lifetime cookie. (As long as they do not happen to click on another person's WA affiliate link before they set up an account.)
