I've read that displaying related posts at the bottom of posts is a good way to keep visitors on your site and lower bounce rate. A plugin like YARPP (Yet Another Related Post Plugin) handles this well.

But I'm wondering if displaying related posts is a good idea since I'm promoting WA and end each post directing visitors to my WA review page. I don't want to give visitors too many options to choose from and end up choosing none.

So is displaying related posts a good idea when promoting WA? What do you guys think? What's your experience been?

Thanks!

I believe that it is not necessary for this niche.

Well, you pretty much have both sides of the coin listed in your question! I can't say which one is better, but personally, I don't use related posts on my WA site. I do have a similar thing I created which leads people to "top posts" on different topic, but each post is curated, and also funnels to the WA review.

I was hoping you'd chime in Nathaniell! Thanks for your input. I think I'll leave out the YARPP plugin for now and just concentrate on getting visitors to my review page.

I personally do not do that for that reason, but I know many others who have been successful here at WA that do have such a plugin. I think focusing on your ultimate goal - that being to get them to join WA - is what you should focus on. Your goal is not to increase your bounce rate but get them to join WA. I know there can be arguments made either way. That is a great question you have asked.
