This is one of my posts. Can you tell me why the url looks like this?

http://bestwealthyaffiliate.com/category/be-inspired/#.VbcOkPkS7Nk

How should I fix it?

Under the category Be Inspired, I have 2 posts, but the Comments section doesn't appear.

I think the Comments are only possible on my Pages but not my posts.

What do I need to do?

Thank you.

Hi Sue, Regarding the URL - every page has a unique ending and to make this look better, you should scroll down to settings and then click on 'permalinks' the scroll down to the last item 'custom setting' and put a dot in that - it should appear as:
g:http:your site name.com /%postname%/ and click ‘save changes’
you may have to change the wording.

Hi John, I tried to change the settings but it wouldn't allow me to save the changes.
So my settings should actually be the post name, but I'm wondering why all these numbers are appearing at the end?
I guess it should be resolved once I use the pretty link plug-in.
As long as my pages and posts can still be found, it should be alright for now.
Thank you for your help! :)

Hi Sue, That is normal unless you can change to the custom post, it makes no difference to people finding your page, it just looks unsightly.

Thanks Rufat, I think that might do the trick.
I'll work on it and if I have any questions I will ask again.

Hi Rufat, I tried to fix the template but my theme might be different and I could not find the section with that code in the template at all.
In Quick edit, I have already checked the box to allow comments in posts but it still doesn't show.
Do you think it could be an issue with the theme I'm using?

I recommend you to contact your wp theme support, where you bought your wp theme from and they will explain how to add a comment box. Some themes have specific settings and that's why you should contact your wp theme support team.

Thanks, Rufat, for your advice.
I have just managed to solve it, but yes, contacting Wp for support would have to be my next resort.
Appreciate your help.

Regarding comments, there are also nice plugins that I am exploring now to see which is best. I suggest checking some out too so you have what you like...The ones that come with the system are basic and half the time seem not to work, as you mention! Good luck!! Dave : )

Hi Sue, Are you using the pretty link plugin that Kyle recommended? With this you can make that url say what you want to have the visitor see...Good little tool, I am just incorporating it into my sites....Hope that helps! Cheers! Dave : )

Hi David, yes I will look into that.
I haven't reached that stage of the training yet. ;)
You're making rapid progress, I see. That's good!
I know that you're a high flyer and appreciate that you're giving support here as well. :)

When you click on Customization under Appearance in Wordpress is there a Post/Page Options that allows you to enable comments?

Hi Bob, thanks for your response.
Somehow, my theme doesn't allow me to do that.
