It should only take a few hours max. You should be able to transfer your website now.

Ideally moving forward you will purchase your domain through SiteDomains here, this way you don't have to worry about the "DNS Stuff" as it is a totally seamless process.

If you went through Name Cheap it take less than an hour in most cases. You may want to check the coding and the domain name again to make sure are correct. Also it may be time to check with the provider.

There are a few verification and email confirmation steps that you need to complete before you can transfer a domain.

Have you complete them? If yes, my experience with Namecheap is about a week.

You may like to email them and check on the status.

It's only hosting. I bought the domain name on Tuesday. You are right, it's long overdue. I have used them a few times before and it had been seamless until now :(
