Hi Fleeky

I sent you a PM. Kyle has also written a blog about BF.

There are a few blogs within the community that I have seen, here are 2:

Loes has created some banners so has PastorDre and shared them as blogs too.

Black Friday is indeed a great opportunity and of course there are various ways in which each online marketer will get ready for it.

The key is not to solely offer just WA memberships but to also look at what the marketplace wants/desires rather than promoting what we ourselves may be emotionally or financially invested in.

We have invested in research tools and websites which show which specific trends/products/services are in demand (whether evergreen or seasonal) and intend to market according to those indicators and metrics.

Promoting certain specific products/goods/services/programs (primarily because they can generate for us potential/recurring revenue) that the marketplace does not want/desire leads in most cases in missed opportunities and not to speak in missing out on Black Friday.

We need to avoid the pitfalls of "one dog and pony show" marketing and market to the market's needs/desires.

I only put up a banner and link with a short accolade on my affiliate website! I don't expect too much since I think the title of my website is lacking, but right now, fingers crossed!

Jeff,

I hope that this finds you well.

IMHO in order to stand out in a massive "red ocean" we can implement simple, yet effective visitor engagement tools, be it hover over pop-ups with an embedded CTA or gamification.

For example, we have invested in and acquired (reasonably priced one time payment only) software which embeds a roulette like spinning wheel which draws the site visitors and engages them to spin the wheel (the wheel can be adjusted for the probability of winning percentage-wise) have a winning chime with virtual confetti followup screen announcing a win, followed by a Thank You page which directs the visitor to provide his/her E-mail to claim the prize.

Another similar gamification software we have acquired also embeds or popups virtual scratch off tickets (including the mouse turning into a virtual coin on a PC or just using the finger on mobile) with the same type of funnel sequence.

Given the 8 seconds attention span the online public has, even regular popups do not cut it, nor do the usual PDF "lead magnets".

Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube are the best indicators that the online public is looking for 'a story" or "an online experience" (that doesn't include the dirty laundry clothesline that the 3 ring circus formerly known as Facebook has become).

The public will surely be drawn to and gravitate where such online experience which gamification almost exclusively captures their attention and subsequent purchasing actions.

Blessings!

I love the '8 second attention span'--a lot can be accomplished in that 8 seconds--just look at rodeo cowboys for instance!
