When placing a banner on my website, how do I know which choice to pick. All banners give you three options:

Direct Link
Direct Download
HTML Code

I don't understand them, and can't find anything that explains this. I can't get any of them to work either. The only thing I know how to do is to copy the picture of the banner, and then attach the general link to the banner.

Anything else I try simply just brings up a picture of the banner in a new window, which is no help. Is there any type of training to explain how to use these banner choices in a better way?

Hey Cynthia,

Not sure what browser you are using but my Firefox on Windows10 desktop computer clearly shows the images for EACH banner followed by the Direct Link, HTML Code, and Direct Download options, as shown in the screen print below...

The first 4 banners, I have pointed to each of the connected options, hoping this would help you. You can download the image below by clicking on it and then right-mouse clicking and select download image, so that you can have a closer look.

Scrolled and printed the entire page of banners hoping this will help you.

Hope you find this helpful.

I can see the images for the banners. What I don't understand is which choice to use, and how to use it.

Do I choose the Direct Link, the HTML code, or Direct Download?

And when I choose one, how do I use it? If I simply copy the code, the code shows up on my website as code.

What I am needing is an explanation of what the difference between each choice is, and how to put these codes into my website so they don't simply show up as code.

Direct Link = you would be linking to the image as it is hosted on WA server. You could use this by using your Add Media button above your WordPress post/page edit window, select Insert from URL.

HTML Code = you could use this by copying and pasting this on your Text Editor and again, the image is hosted on the WA server.

Direct Download = you can download to use by uploading to your WordPress website.

There is no SET ruling as to which you would use. However, given your level of confusion, it might be better for you to use the HTML Code, as it contains your WA affiliate link. Just remember to ALWAYS add HTML code using your Text Editor.

Great explanation, Triblu!
Personally, I downloaded and saved them in a file to use at a later time. The Reason I do this, is because I use ad blockers. Images aren't always visible to me. I'm not able to see the link images on the links page.

Thank you. The HTML code worked, so I will work with that for now. I'm still doing a lot of training, so I'll work with the others later I'm sure.

Hey Rudy,

I use AdBlocker too (wouldn't want to be without), but have disabled AdBlocker when accessing WA server, and have no issues with images here.

Though, have disabled AdBlocker on my own websites, yet I have to use another browser to test my site due to AdBlocker refusing to show my ads... go figure, right. :-))
