Today I visited the Amazon Link Checker page to check whether my affiliate links/pages are working properly or not.

I wondered, link checker says "Fail: The link above was not tagged or was not a valid Amazon link."

All the pages I entered there, contain amazon affiliate links!

Notably, when I'm clicking on any Amazon link from my pages, the corresponding Amazon URL contains my Amazon affiliate store ID.

I'm really doubtful nowadays, whether Amazon is actually tracking my affiliates or not!

Did anyone face a similar issue?

How are your creating you Amazon link?
Through Product links, native shopping links or link to page?

Hi - so, is the product still for sale on Amazon? Since the pandemic started, a lot of products have been removed from sale and this could be what the link checker is telling you.

What stage are you at with Amazon? Have you met the 3 sales target and your account has met their full approval?

Definitely, I made more than 3 sales as I have started my journey here on the same year as you did, 2018.
By the way, if someone doesn't get 3 sales within 90 days the Amazon affiliate program gets locked.

There were many sales from my affiliate links. Later I just shifted my domain to a new one with redirecting. Since then I experienced flat line, though I got healthy traffic on my website.

To know the reason today I just checked the "Link Checker" and got the result as mentioned.

When I click the Amazon links on my website, it's redirecting to the Amazon page with my store ID. Still the "Link Checker" is showing "Fail: The link above was not tagged or was not a valid Amazon link."

There must be something wrong; either from my side or from Amazon. That's why I asked if someone else is experiencing the same or not.

I'll knock Amazon about this, but before that, I want to make sure if everyone is getting it properly or not, or if there is something that's my fault.

Hi - I was just wondering if you had not met your target and therefore you had links to an Amazon account that had not been approved.

However, thinking about it, you wouldn't be able to access the Link Checker, if that was the case, so obviously, that is not the problem.

So, is the product still available? Is this your travel website? As an example, I looked at a post on suitcases for air travel, and nearly all of the products were not available.

Hi, if you check properly, you'll see not "nearly all" but 5 out of 14 products are not available on that particular page.

Yes, I created those posts at least 2 years back on my first site, later shifted to a new domain but I couldn't manage enough time to update those posts.

In my several review posts, several products are probably out of stock, but NOT all. And also my store ID is visible in the URL when I'm visiting the product page from my posts.

Under such circumstances when I'm worried, why Amazon link checker is showing "The link above was not tagged or was not a valid Amazon link".

Even if I have at least one product on any page is linked to Amazon, the link checker should successfully fetch the details.

Can you please mention, what you are getting when you are checking any of your posts (having amazon link) on Amazon Link Checker? Hopefully, you are getting a different message than I got (screenshot attached). If you please mention the message that you are getting, it would be helpful.

Please see the screenshot below. I checked several of my links and they were all successful.

Well, I checked differently.

you have inserted the amazon link. But I was checking for my website URL.

I thought this "link checker" can detect whether there is my amazon affiliate link in the inserted website URL or not.

No, it is to check individual affiliate links to ensure they are not broken or not working, rather than your website as a whole.
