Why use Pinterest for Business

Hi, dear WA family.

I have made 2 calenders for my 2 websites that I am currently working on. It is a very exciting and challenging time for me.

I have finished OEC training fast, but there are still some things that I didn't put yet into action.

A big part of our training focuses on sharing our blogs on social media. There is a very obvious reason for that - we create quality content and we wish our readers to read it.

My first question was - WHY use Pinterest?

I didn't start using Pinterest or my business right away. My main obstacle was my thinking - that pinning it is too time-consuming. But I follow many members in the WA community and I read their posts. Many of them have written that Pinterest works amazing for their business.

After reading many of such posts I knew, I need to change something. I listened to Simon Sinek on youTube and he says it all the time: "START WITH WHY". That is also the title of his book (that is on my TO-READ list).

So here are my WHY reasons:

  • to become more discoverable & easier to find inside my niche by new readers,
  • it is 3rd most popular social platform in the USA,
  • it is FREE to use!

HOW did I finally start with Pinterest?

I can share with you these few tips that I have got me started 'pinning' so far.

No. 1: NO MORE EXCUSES! I had to put into my calendar THE week that I have started setting up Pinterest boards & started asking questions when I got stuck.

No. 2: I unexpectedly got offer fromTailwind for a discount on a Pinterest package that they offer - I took it and a new world opened for me. I am still figuring out Tailwind communities and other ways to get connected with other people with shared boards.

No. 3: never stop learning :)

Conclusion - don't get scared of new stuff

I have been using Pinterest for a long time. The hardest thing to do - at least for me - was to make the shift inside my head - Pinterest is not just for fun and finding ideas.

I can USE Pinterest to find new readers and drive MORE traffic to my blog. On my blog, I promote also products through affiliate links, and more readers mean more chances to make sales. Many WA members have done it, they prove to me, again and again, that it CAN be done.

I just want to thank everyone that answer questions and to WA for the training - you are making shifts inside my head, that I have never expected.

Thank you all, and have an amazing week,

Vesna

I really need to start using it more.

I have been using Pinterest for 2 months and my views are at 11.7k a month. massive growth on my blog which is also 2 months old and has traffic already over the 150 visitors mark. the account is on my profile.

Wow Lisa, that is awesome.

waw, awesome :) Thank you for sharing your Pinterest account with us, I have checked it out and you have great stuff pinned :)

This is really helpful and interesting to my current learning. Thank you for sharing.

that is great news :)

I am learning to use Pinterest. Much of what I know has come from WA members writing blogs. I am enjoying it, but it's not really easy to pick.... at least for me. All the best as you continue to learn about Pinterest.

thank you. Yes, I agree. A lot of Pinterest knowledge is scattered around in different posts. Perhaps it makes it easier. You do small tweaks consistently :)
