Does Autoptimize plugin work?

Hello dear WA family,

I had problems with site speed and I was asking around WA community, what to do to get them faster. I got a lot of great advice and tips, but I just needed to find the time to try it out. I wanted to get the answer to my question - does the Autoptimize plugin work.

I have added this plugin to two of my sites. I have made a record of site speed before changes, what changes have I applied to the site and site speed after I finished.

BE CAREFUL: ALWAYS make a backup of your site before you try new plugins. I use the All-in-One WP migration plugin.

First site

Starting score: 42 %

Applied plugins: Autoptimize & Async Java Script & I applied also inside Site Manager

SiteSpeed is ON with the following Caching Option -> Change to Extreme

End score: 85 %

Second site

Starting score: 55%

Applied plugins: Autoptimize & I applied also inside Site Manager

SiteSpeed is ON with the following Caching Option -> Change to Extreme
End score: 85 %

Conclusion

Autoptimize plugin definitely works. My beginner's mistake was that I just installed it and run the site speed again. I was actually even worse.

Then I got smarter. I watched YouTube videos on how to fine-tune the Autoptimize plugin. In the next step, I have also watched YT for optimizing the Async Java Script plugin. Making the right adjustments was a game-changer for me :)
