Why Does Bird Song Sound so Good.
There is nothing like the “Dawn Chorus” to put a smile on my face and relax me. I feel all is well with the world as though these tiny creatures are singing just to me.
Of course, as summer approaches here in the UK, it means getting up earlier each day.

I love birds concerts, especially now in the spring time, it is so nice to wake up with all the singing. They all have their own voice and sing a different song but the total is always harmonious which can not been said about human noises.

Thanks Taetske. I was thinking that it is morning somewhere on earth at any given time. There are 24 hours of dawn chorus all day, somewhere.

I LOVE that too! I am missing my old house that we just moved from for this reason. There was open land out back with a never- ending parade of chickadees, woodpeckers, geese, nuthatches, warblers, flycatchers, waxwings, redpolls, gulls, magpies, ravens and even cranes, eagles and hawks sometimes. We could hear loons in the summer from a nearby lake as well! It was amazing and a bit like my homestead on a lake in the mountains where I grew up. I miss them!
Now I have seen some chickadees and a nuthatch...that is all. We got a birdfeeder that we need to put up. Hopefully there will be more birds around!
I am determined to have more green space around the next place we move.

Yes, I see the neighbors have a birdbath so that is a good sign. I will have flowers on the other side as well. We are three stories up now so it's a different mix of birds than I am used to.
