Step by Step Writing Process

Write Brilliant Content the Easy Way

A structured approach to Writing content for when you are a bit stuck.

The mysterious need of the reader explained.

a. decide on your intention.

b.Do you want to get help

c.Get some attention for your website

d.Pass on some technical information.

Some examples:

a. For example: my intention is to show that using a thought pattern approach, good content flows almost automatically. Follow my thought plan and see if it works for you.

One thing I have learnt in life is that: “One size fits all” does not work.

b. I am not looking for help, although please share any ideas you may have on the subject. It is one which many of us struggle with, writing brilliant content.

c. https://yougetthemoney.com/ is my website, although I need to apply this approach to my own website from now on.

d. WordPress is a theme based website building system with “off the peg” themes you can choose from. Each theme can then be edited to some extent for shape, colour and usage. You enter your own content (text.)

Let us look at the problem of “What shall I write about?”

Every aspect of our business is of interest to a large number of people in the WA community.

Looking at the main headline subjects; they might be:

  1. W.A.

  2. Amazon

  3. eBay

  4. Affiliate Marketing

  5. Website development

  6. WordPress

  7. Writing Content

  8. Blogging

  9. Making Money

  10. Etc. etc.

That is just for starters. These are not in any order of importance.

Let us take one of these 10 and write a little further explanation: no.6 “WordPress.”

Let’s research a little about WordPress.

Here is a simple approach: use the “question” words and plug them in to a search engine. E.g.

a. What?

b. When?

c. Where?

d. Who?

e. Which?

f. Why?

g. How?

Let’s see what happens when we add the question words to the main subject.

a. What is Facebook? Facebook is a social networking site where people can share experiences and photos, share links to interesting videos and create business “pages” to market their products or services.

b. When was Facebook started? February the 4th 2004

c. Where was Facebook started? Cambridge Massachusetts, USA

d. Who started Facebook and who uses it? Well, who doesn’t?

e. Which? Cannot think of a useful “which.”

f. Why was it created? Mark Zuckerberg created the original Facebook software for students to connect with each other.

e. How can we use Facebook to improve our own business?

What (see above a) has Facebook to Offer us?

The services Facebook now offers are far more than when it was started, so there is a whole article to be written about that.

  • How (see above g) different people use Facebook to spread information is another angle.

  • How Facebook is used to gather contact lists for business purposes.

  • How it is funded, (remember, Facebook is free to join. Someone must pay for it all.)

The final point is for you to set yourself a goal and choose some sub-headings, then sum it all up.

Remember to introduce some mystery or question which you answer later in the post. That is the mystery of what all readers need: anticipation and curiosity. Give them a little mystery in the beginning and reveal the answer later.

Egg Sucking for Grandmothers

I know this is teaching some “grandmothers to suck eggs” but there are those of us who need some structure, advice and help when we are stuck, so thank you for reading this far.

Inspiration is delicious when it is there and when it is missing, a structured approach can be a good alternative, to get us by, before the next “light-bulb” moment.

I hope it has helped a little. Writing this has helped me to focus on a structured approach, which I need to apply, myself, to my own web-site: big revisions on the way.
