3 Things to do when you start a business:

Ask yourself if you really like this business. You will not survive if you have to intensively apply yourself to something you dislike.
Ask yourself: “Am I willing to dedicate 16 hours a day, 7 days a week over the next 2 years to get started?”
Ask your Spouse / partner / family if they are behind you in this enterprise. Your attention may well be on the business a lot.

Anything else is a bonus.
