How to Meet a Man
How to Meet a Man
Three Things to do when you meet a Man:
- Look at his hands. The state of his nails and fingers will tell you a lot about how he looks after himself, (or not,) and what he does.
- Look at his shoes. How well grounded is he? How does he take care of his clothes? Are they shiny, branded, and top of the range sports shoes? Might give you a clue about what is important to him.
- Look at his teeth. The state of his mouth will indicate his self-esteem and his respect for himself.
Anything else is a bonus.

You're telling me....I know some men who are not so particular about their looks, what they wear, unkempt hair, nails, etc but have good heart. All they need is s good woman yo grom them. We're all from different environment and upbringing.
The mist important is what is hidden inside but not what we see outside because the hidden ounces is character is very difficult to change.
The part is easy to play the best actor of the world do it all the time. My grandfather humbly man made millions but his jeans to big as he got older put a extra hole in his belt. But that was a man you wanted to meet but we never flashed cause he wanted to only meet people like him. Humbly loving happiness and free
Can't always judge a book by it's cover...
Looks can be deceiving.
Even the most polished well read individual
can turn out to be someone entirely the opposite.
Thanks Barbara. Interesting to see the strong reaction this article has produced. I am really pleased that most people see the shallowness of the views. I hope people also understand the humour it was written with.
Interesting...guess I'll have to brush my teeth today...oh, well...AND change my t-shirt...AND put on some shoes...guess I won't make the cut...lol
Thanks Arthur. This is, of course, a leg-pull, but I have seen these points raised in many women's magazines. Often in the form of a quiz. I wonder how many people take these "indicators" seriously.
1} I guess mechanics, painters and construction men don't look after themselves.
2} I know a lot of people who iron and wear top brand clothing but don't have a pot to piss in.
3} Being a former hockey player myself I guess I don't respect myself along with countless athletes who play physical sports.
My take: Don't judge a book by it's cover and materialistic pursuits will always disappoint .
Of course, you are right. Was meant as "tongue in cheek."
Many women's magazines express these views.
Haha, my husband always has dungarees with t-shirt and runs throughout the year at sandals.
Don't measure people from the outside, look into their heart and eyes for the inside:)
No way. Women's magazines claim they do surveys and these are the 3 top things women look for. We all make judgements on other peoples appearance. It is built into our genetic make-up. We needed to know the difference between a wild animal and a lump of wood pretty quickly. At least we can now use some critical judgement and see past the initial assumptions.
I believe you have to have a good nose for it, when he smells delicious, then that's your man:))

Great
..those are exactly the 3 things I've always looked for...along with a good sense of humor. Debbie
Thanks Debbie.
If a person takes care of themselves, they are able to take care of you. That is the theory and a lot of women's magazines tell us these are the things that women really do look at, first.
