How to Get Better at Writing
How to Get Better at Writing
Multiple Ways of Writing
There are many different approaches to writing posts and blogs.
Improving this skill is probably the most important one we can acquire.
We can pay someone else / outsource the writing.
My own opinion is that we need to have a good idea of what and how to write a post in order to instruct an outsource writer.
There are
Letters
Forms
Complaints
Blogs
Reviews
Books
EBooks
Instruction books etc.etc.
So how do we improve our writing skills without taking more courses in creative writing?
Get Better at Writing
- Here is a little trick I have used to extend my own writing skills.
- Get a book. (Yes! One of those old fashioned paper things from the dark ages.)
- Open a random page.
- Put your finger in the middle of the page.
- Read the line.
- Write a 100-word article on what you have read on that line. Find any angle you can think of.
- Do at least 2 every day
- Keep a file of what you written, perhaps dated and numbered.
- After a few weeks – go back and read some of what you have written and see if there is anything that makes you smile or has the roots of a longer article.
The subject is immaterial.
The idea is to train your imagination to react creatively to any subject and automatically structure an article out of almost nothing.
The Best Use of an Article.
Applying the usual rules of planning an article with sub-headings and keywords are easier to follow when the creative part of your brain ticks automatically.
How Long do I Need to Write?
I suggest you do this daily for a long time, at least until writing becomes easy, fluent and productive. You will then have more energy to apply to SEO.
Happy Writing.

What an original way of improving your writing Peony! I will start using the "finger pointing" approach from time to time now!
Thanks for your creative advice!
thanks Terry.
Often what we perceive to be difficult is just that we are attempting to run before we can walk.
