How can I find inner peace?
7 steps to finding inner peace and happiness.
- Think of some minor incident that happened today, something someone else did, and forgive them.
- Think of someone who has offended or hurt you and the hurt still hangs in there. Forgive them.
- Think of someone who has caused you serious problems or pain, someone you thought you would never forgive. Forgive them.
- Practice these steps every day until there is no-one left to forgive.
- Notice the lightening of your senses and the increase in energy as you forgive more people. Few people can repeat this exercise more than 15 times and still find people to forgive.
- Forgive anyone left in your life, past or present, who is still left in your memory.
- Forgive yourself.
It seems like we have the capacity to carry these feelings around for so long and they only weigh us down. They do not seem to serve any purpose for the future.
Shedding internal conflicts is very empowering since there will be so much more energy to apply to our own lives, after forgiving people.

Great post....We can forgive but, do we forget. People can forgive to have a self gratifying feeling that they did good. Yet do they actually forget the damage that may have been imposed. If you truly forgive then you need to truly forget ;)

Thanks Garland. I agree. With forgiveness means the impact of the harmful actions fades and the memory is no longer a burden.
