I am originally from Montreal and we used to always refer to it as a CV. When I moved closer to Ottawa and had to look for jobs there, I used the term a few times and it confused everyone. Now I tend to say resume more often, but once in a while will slip and say CV.

That said, there are some differences between the two. A CV tends to be more detailed than a resume, which will typically be shorter.

I had an inkling that was meant. I would like to caution against loose use of acronyms on a platform such as this. Americans in particular like to use acronyms and assume everyone knows what they mean.

I absolutely agree and that is also true in a curriculum vitae.
Acronyms can have a variety of uses and meanings.
The problem here is that there is no English name for a C.V. (That I am aware of,) and using the full Latin name probably will have even less meaning to most people.

I agree. I have looked at a lot of similar business / communities.
Most of them offer no real support once they have your money.
There is nothing quite like it.
